Henry and the princess had left one another that night in Hydrogia in such a sweet way, but it soon turned sour for the princess.
Perhaps it had been ridiculous for her to assume that if she threw herself at him, he would have more regrets and want to stay for just a bit longer. He could have used the weather as an excuse since it rained in Hydrogia for much of the following day.
However, even when she stood on a balcony with a robe and a shawl keeping her body warm, she watched the caravan of knights leave without ever turning back to spare the castle even one last glance.
He wanted her to be mature and steady but she was feeling much of the opposite. The world could give her anything she wanted but not Henry. She had always wanted to see Chemois but she went back and forth wondering if she would ever go. She was starting to hate that place since Henry felt more dutiful toward that than toward her.
