Chapter 383 - Need to Leave

The weather was cold but any sign of snow was long gone. It was rare for snow to stick around for very long during the winters by the coast. 

Luckily the ground remained cold enough that what would be mud was hard and the wagons passed through the dirt relatively easily as they started on their journey forward. 

As directed, the knights paid close attention to the hills and surrounding forests but, so far, the biggest threat had been three goblins but those were easily slashed down. Even the least experienced apprentice would be able to take down a goblin by themselves on horseback. 

It seemed that they would reach the village in the early afternoon and Sir Alix decided that they would go all the way to the village before they would take a break to eat. Even though the village didn't have anything extra to spare, they had brought more than enough for them to at least restore their energy before they went back to the commander's fortress.
