For the Knights of Hydrogia, it was their harshest winter yet.
It wasn't the persistent snow that hit them the hardest nor was it a lack of food as those unprepared for such a vicious winter had to face. It was the monsters coming in from all sides that kept the knights busy.
Henry considered the timing horrible as he fought for his life every other day yet still felt guilty that he was neglecting the relationship he had with the princess. After all of his promises to open up to her, he had to spend time far apart from her. It made each time he saw her that much more desperate.
To make up for it, he often bothered messengers. He was spending plenty of money sending letters back and forth between Commander Lothian's land and the palace, hoping that his words would at least make up for his lack of presence.
