The whirlwind of emotions was far too much for Celia to handle and she had to sit down once Henry was no longer outside.
To her surprise, Callum followed suit and turned to her with concern on his face.
"If you have something else you need to do…" Celia suggested, trailing off because she didn't want to be without him but she could only imagine that being in a place like this meant he had others to do with.
He had a mulititude of boys and men working under him and many more who wished to work for him. She knew that much by the conversations she had happened to overhear. There was widespread respect for the commander. She felt lucky to even be able to stand by his side.
"Are you feeling alright?" he asked, ignoring her suggestion entirely. He couldn't get the image of her crying out of his mind. "I apologize for having forced you to witness such a fight. I've never seen anything like it before in all the years I've served his majesty."
