Chapter 352 - She's Leaving

Eventually, the mother and son departed from one another when Henry decided to head off to dinner and complete his duties for the evening. He asked if she wanted to join him for a meal but she said she wanted to finish writing before she went to eat when fewer knights were in the dining hall. 

She wouldn't admit to him that she was looking forward to seeing Callum after not seeing him for a few weeks. Without him there, the fortress had been cold and lonely at night. 

Even though the news she had received from her son was heavy, she hoped that she could find happiness in a place like that. 

As she slowly walked down the halls, Celia's eyes scanned the place - the sturdy stone the building was made from, the wooden beams on the high ceilings, the old rug that ran down the hallway, and the bronze wall sconces that lit up the place.
