Without the mage's magic holding it together any longer and all of the magical orbs being exhausted of their powerful magic, the golem started falling apart.
It continued walking forward until all that was left was a pile of dirt, rock and shattered magical orbs. Its movement had finally ceased entirely.
However, there were knights with arrows standing in the back who had seen the commander climbing into the giant magical monster. They ran forth to unbury their commander from the rubble, hoping that no harm had come to him. It was undoubtedly he who ceased the movements of the golem in the first place.
On the further side of a large boulder, the commander was hidden and had unburied himself. He was working on unburying the other knight and he wondered where the mage he had stabbed went.
The knights eventually made it to that side of the rubble and they all shouted at the sight of their commander.
