Without the prince in attendance that evening and the commander nowhere to be found, Henry felt a bit more free and it seemed the princess was feeling much of the same.
Rather than holding onto Henry's arm as was appropriate, she went through the halls of the castle, holding his hand and dragging him along.
There were a few glances of curiosity but no one could say anything to the princess, nor could they say anything to the knight who was sure to keep his expression in check so the people passing by wouldn't get the wrong idea.
Ever since the hunt, she had been more openly affectionate with him. He racked his brain as to why but he couldn't think of a specific event. Lady Leonora had talked to him during the meal but even before that, the princess had been different.
