Rather than overconfidently rushing into the center of the forest, Commander Lothian and his knights went into the woods but stuck to the outskirts.
They noticed right away that there were many rushing for the center but they wanted to take advantage of whichever game would end up rushing out of the forest due to all of the disturbance inside.
On top of their suspicions, Callum suspected that the sky could drop rain at any minute and he didn't want to be caught near the bog containing the kelpie. Overall it was a fleshed-out plan and they were going to stick to it.
The knights went through the trees, following the commander's each move. Even though they had all been through the forest, Commander Lothian still had the best sense of direction. He wasn't simply staying at the front because he was the commander.
Callum put out a black-gloved hand, telling the knights to stop, then he gestured for them to move left and he stayed put where he was at.
