Chapter 307 - Seeking A Mage

Squeezing his knees reasonably hard so that their lives would be spared from the monster that looked over the bog, Henry urge Melan to speed forward. The charcoal grey horse dodged trees and branches and Henry occasionally glanced behind them. 

When he was certain the threat was no longer, he leaned into the ride and made himself easier to carry so they could stay at a top speed and get out of there quickly. 

As expected, the air became thinner and the two of them started climbing a hill that overlooked the forest they had just exited. 

Once at the crest of the grassy hill, Henry finally gave Melan a break and they both rested there, their breathing ragged. Melan's from his hard work and Henry's due to the anxiety of the situation.
