The princess who was normally composed and calm in all situations told Henry to run and all of his senses fired off at once. Instead of her holding his arm as was proper for their public relationship, he grabbed her hand and they ran through the crowd, hoping the multitude of people would be enough to block whoever was after them.
He had meat skewers in his other hand and she held onto the twine holding together the brown paper that held the honey cake.
While they ran, a thrill rushed through Henry's body and struck his heart. It felt like they were making a great escape. He had to keep his eyes on the path ahead while also paying attention to their surroundings and making sure whoever was after them wasn't getting too close.
