Chapter 288 - Nervousness

Princess Marie's words were like music to Henry's ears. They enveloped him like a soft blanket and comforted his heart which had taken a beating that day. 

He didn't trust the situation in the palace if he wasn't there so he decided to be there as often as possible as long as the king allowed him. Perhaps then all the insecurities constantly rushing around inside of him would rest for a while. 

The knight couldn't believe his self-control went to hell the moment she uttered such sweet words. 

The princess pulled away from him as the silence grew and she looked up at him. 

He stared elsewhere with a contemplative expression on his handsome face. 

"What are you thinking about?" she asked. 

"I'm going to have to visit this place a lot more often if it's what it takes for that… For Ian to stay away from you," he swore. "You're going to get tired of me."
