Instinct took over and the need to run took over his need to see what had made the noise that sounded like an eagle.
The thrill of battle hit him so badly, he felt like his arms were numb yet they still moved as he propelled himself forward.
Even when they made it to the other side of the rocky bridge, they weren't able to rest.
"Keep moving!" the commander shouted.
Luckily, the place they made it to had large rock formations and there were some that they could squeeze in between and remain hidden. Even if the crevice was large enough for the commander to fit inside, a griffin wouldn't be able to.
They had to hide amongst rocks until the whooshing noise of heavy wings and the eagle call could no longer be heard.
They were in the shade and hidden pretty well. Henry took a moment to catch his breath and he put his gloved hand against his forehead.
