Chapter 209 - Old 'Friends'

Sitting on the wooden table, there was a tiny candle in the middle, its pale flame bouncing around from the movement in the room. 

Next to it were two corked bottles full of the cider Katerina had suggested they drink. 

When everyone was sitting down, she started filling the cups and pushed them to each side of the table for the knights to drink down. 

"So what brings you out this way, Callum?" she asked the commander. "As usual, I don't get to see you in your knight's armor." 

The woman seemed to pout and, to Henry's surprise, the commander didn't get short with her. Rather, he smiled. 

It seemed that women were who could bring out the surprising sides of the commander. Henry resisted the confused expression threatening to show itself. 

"Visit Hydrogia," the commander said. "I'm sure there would be plenty of opportunities then." 

He lifted up the cup on the table, his large hand making the cup seem even smaller than it was.
