The princess and Henry pulled away from each other with wide eyes.
He was facing the door and she was facing away. Despite them not being able to see her expression, she buried her blushing face in Henry's chest as if she were trying to hide.
Luckily, Henry only saw Trenton, Alix, and Maximus looking back at him. He felt instant relief that it wasn't the king or Crown Prince or anyone else associated with them.
Maximus was the first to break the silence.
"Ah, carry on," he uttered and quickly went forward to shut the door tightly.
When they were left to only themselves once again, Henry started laughing. He hugged the embarrassed princess to his chest and a grin took over his features.
The princess groaned.
"What's the matter?" Henry asked. "At least it wasn't the king or prince."
She looked up at Henry with a serious expression and her hands gripped at the material of his shirt.
