Five more days of preparation came and went and, before Henry knew it, the knights had everything they needed for their journeys. That afternoon, they were set to go to the castle and enjoy hours of feast and blessings so that they could go forth and do what the king asked of them.
The commander had dropped the news on everyone during training in the practice yard that he and Henry were going away on an expedition. Many were confused but when it was said that it was the king's orders, there was no one else who wanted to question it.
At least they were going to get a good meal out of it that evening.
Henry stood in his room wearing one of the navy blue silk tunics Sir Alix had made for him. There were supposed mostly knights in attendance at the banquet so he felt dressing casual was going to be the best option.
