Alix wasn't the only one to recognize that Henry had been acting differently since they arrived. When the knight responded quietly and followed emotionlessly, Maximus and Trenton shared a confused look.
The commander had promised to not let him slack off while the others were in Chemois but what had the man done that made Henry change into a quiet, subdued knight in a few short months?
Once the knights were finished with their breakfast, they followed Alix to the commander's study.
Since the commander would be out for a while with the king, Alix felt it was the only appropriate place to give the message to the other knights.
Henry sat down at the table when they entered the room.
Trenton sat next to him and Maximus sat across from him. Alix sat at the head of the table and they all stared at Henry who looked back at them with a confused expression.
