Henry looked back and forth between his mother and the commander.
For some reason, it didn't sit well with Henry that the commander looked happier than he had ever seen him before unless he was drinking.
They seemed to be lost in their own little world until Henry asked for an explanation and both of them looked away from each other.
"Oh, Henry," his mother said, trying to comfort her son who was clearly uncomfortable.
However, Henry didn't feel like being babied at that moment and he crossed his arms over his chest. He should have known the commander wouldn't have come there without some kind of reason.
"You already know Sylvia and I lived with the other orphans until we were nearly adults," Celia explained. "Callum was there around that time too. Though he had been there his whole life while Sylvia and I had vague memories of our parents."
