Henry went into the hallway, only to find it devoid of anyone else except for the guards who had been standing by the doors, dutifully remaining there until the king retired for the evening.
"The princess?" he asked one of the guards.
The younger guard quickly pointed in the direction of one of the hallways and the older guard glared at him but sighed.
"She did go in that direction, sir," the older guard said.
"Thank you," Henry said.
Wasting no time, he got into a jog.
The hour was late and he felt he was running out of time to fix whatever the princess was upset about.
The hallway went past the parlor where they were supposed to drink tea before and the princess's room was all the way at the end.
However, it seemed his job to find her would be easy.
As he walked past the parlor, he felt the cold air before he saw the princess but he knew she was there and standing on the balcony that wrapped around that side of the castle.
