Princess Marie rested her forehead against Henry's neck. They were both speechless and breathless from the kiss they shared moments before.
She could feel his pulse racing as she kept herself close to him. It caused a small smile to appear on her lips. It felt good to know that she could affect him the way he affected her. Her heart hadn't been the same since their lips met.
The princess was terrified at how she was going to do without that feeling for the foreseeable future. Her father and brother would come back to the castle soon and sneaking around like that would be impossible.
Henry had much of the same thoughts. He wondered about going to Polona. It wouldn't be so hard if that was what was required of him to feel her lips on his again.
"I wish I could run away with you," she said.
Henry couldn't help touching her cheek again.
His featherlight touch caused butterflies to appear in her stomach.
