The commander kept walking forward but Henry stood still with his mouth hanging open slightly. He had the sword before he was a knight - even before he was an apprentice. How would anyone guess that he would even make it into the knighthood?
Realizing the commander had made it to the part of the wall that went into the barracks, he quickly ran forward, no longer inspecting the wall.
He had more questions than he had answers at the moment and it didn't seem like the commander was interested in discussing the topic any further since the other knights and apprentices had arrived.
He finally caught up to the commander who raised his eyebrows at Henry when he nearly ran into him. The younger knight was clearly burdened with a lot on his mind.
"How long do I have, commander?" Henry asked. "Will I be able to regain strength in my arm before I have to go?"
