Alix could hear his name distinctly through the noise in the arena. He smirked knowing it was the knights he held dearest to him.
He wanted to make his friends proud and he wanted to remind Commander Lothian why he was the second in command. Not only that, but he wanted to show the Royal Family what happened when one of his knights was mistreated unfairly.
He knew that Commander Lothian would be doing the same thing if he was participating in the tournament.
The apprentice who stood on a wooden platform above the others looked at each knight and saw that they were ready. He had been having the time of his life that day and his voice was becoming hoarse from all the yelling he had been doing. Luckily it was the final match.
It seemed like the opportune time to start when the audience started to quiet down as he raised his arm in the air.
"The knights are ready!" he shouted. "In three… two… one… charge!"
