Through the joust, the princess had balled up the material of her dress in her hands until her knuckles turned white.
After Henry had been knocked off of his horse, he became ruthless and she gasped when he threw off his armor. Never before had she seen him look so angry.
It seemed to be entertaining to the onlookers sitting in the stands but the princess was scared. Deep down she knew that the anger he displayed had to do with the crown prince.
If she could go back and redo everything, she would have taken Henry somewhere where no one could have found them. She didn't want him to be sad and she didn't want him to have anger like that in his heart. It would push out the sweetness eventually.
The rest of the match, her hand was over her mouth and she had to hold in a scream when Henry's shoulder was dislocated. The way he yelled made her eyes water as if she were the one experiencing the pain.
