"Y-your highness!" Henry finally exclaimed.
His eyes were fixed on the princess in horror. He realized her eyes weren't meeting his and he was instantly nervous at how disgusting he probably looked to her at that moment. For her to stare at his body so openly like that made his heart thump.
While he was wearing layers of clothing, it was easy to hide just how dark his skin was after a summer of being outside in Chemois. However, without any material, the illusion was gone.
Plus he was covered in sweat and water from practicing so hard just before.
It was an appearance he never wanted to have in front of the princess.
Not knowing what else to do, he simply bowed.
The princess finally diverted her gaze and she lifted a fan that had been nestled in her hands the entire time, fanning off her face and hiding the pink tinge on her cheeks.
"Sir Henry," she greeted. "It's much warmer today than I expected it to be."
