After a period of time, Zanzara finally released the pent-up anger and bitterness that had been building inside her. With a piercing scream, she forcefully knocked over the exquisite teapot and delicate teacup resting on the circular table next to her lounge chair.
"Your Majesty, please try to remain calm. Remember, you are still carrying a child, and it wouldn't be beneficial for your baby," her maidservant, who also served as a midwife, gently cautioned her.
Zanzara could not control her rage. When she saw Sofia smiling at her and taunting her, she felt the blood rush to her head, and she had the urge to kill her, but she could only keep her feelings to herself. In front of the King, she could not show any hint of anger toward any of the King's other wives.
Zanzara's anger still boiled within her when a sudden, sharp pain gripped her stomach. She tensed up, her round face twisted in agony.
