In a luxurious suite at the Celestial Hotel, directly across from Alpha University, Adelle Black flung a teacup at the maid attending to her. The delicate porcelain connected with the young woman's forehead, causing blood to flow from the sizable wound. Despite the pain and shock, the maid did not make a sound, instead using her trembling hand to apply pressure and staunch the bleeding.
She screamed, "Get your ugly face out of this room," and was about to hurl the glass, but the maid bolted out of the room as fast as she could.
"I can't believe it. How could she escape unscathed!" She picked up the phone that she threw on the carpet and dialed a number.
