Ava leaped up so suddenly that the mug sitting next to her laptop teetered and spilled its contents of hot chocolate. Despite the mess, she merely spared a quick glance at it and made no effort to clean it up.
"Brother, what do you mean that Sister Aya is in danger?" she asked, her voice filled with anxiety as she hurried to his side. She glanced at the series of images on his monitor and saw they were snippets of chat messages.
Ava's face was filled with concern as she examined the messages. Puzzled by their apparent lack of connection to an assassination plot, she could not comprehend their true meaning. She looked at her brother with a face filled with question marks. She looked adorable. If Dave had been there, he could have pinched her chubby cheeks.
