I stood before Origin, my mind reeling with the revelations. "What the fuck are you saying, old man? A competition for omnipotence in a thousand years? And I'm included? You can't be serious!"
Origin's expression remained calm, but a hint of amusement danced in his eyes. "Didn't I make it clear enough, Arthur? What are you so worried about?"
I almost shouted, my voice trembling with fear and anger. "What am I worried about? You expect me, a ten-year-old, to go against beings who have been alive for octillions of years? I'll be murdered without being able to do anything!"
Origin chuckled, his voice like thunder. "So that's what got you so worried. But don't worry, it's not a competition as you think. It's just you guys invading each other's domains and conquering them. You even have a chance to surrender if you want, but I don't think you will, as you are the very embodiment of Domination."
I seethed with frustration, feeling like a pawn in a game I didn't understand. But then Origin offered me a glimmer of hope. "I'll give you three wishes for abilities of your choice, but in return, you'll have to start at the Ultimate Multiverse level, while your siblings were already concepts when they were created."
I hesitated, weighing the risks and benefits. But the promise of power and the chance to survive was too enticing to resist. "I agree."
Origin smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Great! Name your wishes, Arthur."
I thought carefully, choosing abilities that would give me the best chance of survival and success. "First, I want the power of Ultimate Reality Warping, with the potential of becoming a concept of it, and not have Dreams keep check of it as it is now."
Origin nodded, his expression serious. "That can be granted, but it will only grow with you, meaning as you will be at the Ultimate multiverse level, it will also be at the same level."
I accepted the condition, knowing it was a fair trade. "My second wish is to have Existential warping ability on the same level and potential as Reality warping."
Origin granted my wish, his expression unreadable. "That can also be granted, but you do know that those two won't simply allow you to reach their level in a thousand years, so your next wish will have to be something good."
I smiled, confident in my final choice. "Don't worry, my last wish will surely allow me to reach their level and even surpass them within 700 years."
Origin laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Ok then, surprise me."
I took a deep breath, making my final wish. "I wish for the ability of Unequal Exchange, with potential reaching the omnipotent level, if I ascend to that point, but not the top of concept level."
Origin's laughter grew louder, his eyes shining with excitement. "Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah, as expected of my son! This will surely allow you to reach their level, even within five hundred years."
With my wishes granted, Origin sent me back to the mortal realm, his parting words echoing in my mind. "Go out there and conquer to your heart's content, and make me proud."
I had one final question, though. "Since you're omnipotent, can't you know the outcome of this competition and who will inherit your powers?"
Origin's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Yeah, it's easy for me to know, but where's the fun in that? Now, bye, son."
