Lyre and Veryn turned at the sound of Rain's voice.
Rain leaned on the door with a carefree expression on his face. With his arms folded, he raised a brow at a stunned Veryn and Lyre.
"A fool? You've got to be kidding me." Rain stood straight and started walking towards them.
"Rain…." Lyre swallowed. He tried to look neutral but it was difficult.
"What are you doing here?" Veryn narrowed his eyes at Rain. "Well, it's for the best. I will kill you this way." He sneered at Rain.
"Veryn, it's okay." Lyre stepped in between them. "We can solve this without shedding blood. This isn't the time—"
"Do you think you can pretend you don't know what's happening?" Rain narrowed his eyes at Lyre. "If only you never came into my life. Things would have been better for me, Lyre."
Lyre took a step back, dumbstruck by Rain's words. It hit him hard on his chest.
"Rain..."
