I woke up on the ground by the shore again in the very same place we were stranded.
There was no sound, everything was quiet, The sun shined furiously in my eyes and the calming waves moved ever so closer to the shore before going back out to the ocean.
I got up to see Chloe sitting by the waves with her Toxel in hand..
Just by seeing her like this…i already knew what happened but ..but i have to know for sure!
"C..Chloe.." I said, my eyes were only half open. I haven't fully regained consciousness but I managed to squeak those words out of my pathetic mouth.
She turned to me and quickly ran to my aid. Her eyes were swollen as if she was crying all night.
Chloe….ever since we were kids you always make sure i was alright… I hope I can make it up to you.
"Ayuna! Thank god you're alright." She hugged me so tightly I thought she was gonna kill me with my weak body. I managed to raise my arms to give her a hug too.
"Where's Jeffery?"
When i said this she hugged me tighter but this time cried so hard i knew what happened…she didn't have to utter a word.

"Gyarados…Hyperbeam." A beam of light was sent straight for Jeffrey and Chloe.
Jeffery seeing what was about to happen pushed Chloe away.
Her eyes widened as she saw her friend..our best friend was about to be burned alive by a beam of light.
As she was being sent back Jeffery quickly pushed his hands into his pockets and threw something at her which she caught.
Before he was hit he gave Chloe a huge smile, a smile that shows he doesn't regret anything, a smile that shows…he knows he was doing the right thing.
Then…..
He died….right in front of her eyes…
As the tears grew more and more she got up and ran no matter what happened she ran.
She couldn't die now after all that Jeffery did she kept running and she stumbled multiple times but she got up and kept running.
"Gyarados-" Misty goes to command the Gyarados again but Garvi stops her.
"Let her run." He said with a smile.
Garvi walked up to the spot where Jeffery died and picked up what seemed to be a piece of his clothing.
Finally …Chloe ended up on the beach where she saw me unconscious. She stood by my side until I woke up.
She didn't take a look at what she got from Jeffery but when she did she cried even more.
It was Charmander's pokeball….

We hugged each other until the waves stopped coming in until the sun was higher and the pokemon were awake. We were hugging each other in tears…
When we finally stopped Chloe went into her pouch and gave me Charmander's pokeball.
"Jeffery would want you to have this…." She said, handing it to me.
I took the pokeball from her hands and…they were shaking.
I..I couldn't think of words at the moment. I couldn't express how sad I was.
This is all my fault… I got too comfortable with pokemon way too fast..i ..
I'm only ten. Why are we in these situations! I can't ..I don't understand..
I should be battling right now having fun collecting badges, going to the pokemon league…not this.. Anything but this..
"Come on! This isn't the face of a future champion!" Jeffrey's voice echoed in my head.
"Is this going to be the state of my rival when I beat him in the pokemon league?"
You…You don't understand..
"Ayuna you ok?" His voice just keeps coming into my head!
"Ayuna…i know what's out there might be scary but you have to give it your best smile.. No matter what happens, no matter how scary this world may be! If you give up then…i might as well give up too."
Thats ..thats a line he never told me before…
"Hey!" We heard Bill's voice from afar.
"You kids ok?"
He ran up to us checking for any injuries.
On Chloe there were just some minor scratches but on me…I had no injuries.
"Let's get you kids back to Kanto…." He looks around.
"Where's the other kid?"
"He's gone.." i responded
"Oh.."
We all went back to the building and Bill tended to our pokemon Kabuto, Zorua, Toxel and Charmander…. They were all looking way better than before.
Though just as much as us..they were hurting on the inside.
Right after Bill called to request a ship to come for us and take us back to Kanto.
As we stood there.. On the ship we look back at Granite island, both of us not the same as we left.
"Ayuna… do you think we even have a chance at beating them?" Chloe asked worriedly but as me and Zorua stared at the island i'm sure we'll see them again and when we do it's not going to end the same way.
We've only been traveling together for a few months but I know we'll get stronger together and we'll beat Darvi… and all the other team Paradox admins and soon….

Jeffery walked down the halls wearing the uniform of team Paradox.
"Oi!" Jeffery heard someone shout from down the halls.
"Celebi escaped, grabbed a time capsule and chase it down!!" it was another grunt of his ranks but doing as he said he grabbed a time capsule and soon the whole division was after Celebi.
But before they managed to catch the Celebi it disappeared into a void going further back in time.
They kept chasing after the Celebi using the time capsules and everyone gave chase after the Celebi once again but something caught Jeffery's eye.
It was me..when i was five.. I was hugging Zorua passed out on the grass.
"We got it!" one of the grunt's said.
"You sure it's the same one?"
"Who cares it's a Celebi."
…
"Jeffery you coming or what?"
Jeffery was snapped out of his daze before taking one last glance at me.
"Yeah…yeah I am."
They all disappeared back to their own time.
