Prologue Chapter

The sounds of wolves howling at the middle of the night, their howls could be transformed into pure melodies of the cold dark night…

In the young wooden house just off the center of the forest, a tall woman was seen wearing a black and white cloak. Walking in the cold night with a basket of firewood on her back and dead animals in her hands, she didn't really seemed like the type of person to be affected by the cold. She entered the house, the cold air enter the house, it almost put out the fire to keep her and the little boy warm.

She removed her cloak, she brushed her dark brown hair. It was short, a little messy, it was more with a cat like style with ears. She was very masculine then feminine, her muscles bulging each time she flex. She wore a white transitional chinese dress, with a white belt with a silver oval shape buckle. She also had cut up white sleeve that went from her wrist to forearms. She never took off her what's left of her chains, it had runic inscriptions on it.

"I'm home." She said announcing her arrival, she look to her left to see a small bed empty. She knew who was sleeping there but couldn't be found.

"Little Serpent!" She called out worried only to see a small boy, his eyes golden with his pupils slit like a cat. He was only 6 years old barely old enough to even cook. His dark brown hair matched hers and it was good to see that they was related by blood.

"Welcome back." His soft spoken nervously after hearing her call his nickname. She sighed cautiously, her heart all over the place from his cuteness.

"Are you cold, πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘?"

"Yes mama."

She sat behind him hugging him close to her hard muscular body. The one thing she swore to protect was her son, he was the most innocent and brightest child out of all the kids in this small village.

"Mama, is it possible for me to play with the kids tomorrow?" He asked softly he has been in the house every day and night, he couldn't go out to meet new people at all. She wanted for him to meet new people but what she truly fear is what the villagers might think about him not being human.

"Alright fine but you can't stay out for long." She accepted his permission, she needed her son to have friends it's just that he's not a mortal being. He's a hybrid of something powerful.

"Okay!" He responded his manner upright and innocent. If only his other mother would see him now, someone who's so accustom to the environment and mortal ideas.

"That doesn't mean you wonder outside the forest. We don't want anything to happen to you or the other villagers, especially since they're strange beasts that want to eat you up." She said teasingly, the poor kid then hugged her tightly.

"I don't want to be eaten!" He exclaimed. Tears running down his cute baby face. His mother couldn't argue that his kid was the cutest then other mothers would wish he was their kid.

"You won't, because mommy is here to protect you."

"Promise."

"…I promise."

The boy smiled softly before his cute yawn came into action. "Someone is tired."

"No I'm not…" πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘ then fell asleep in his mothers arms. She smiled warmly, he was an ball of joy. What truly scared her was the fact he would have to kill one day to protect others. She saw the future clear as day, him onto of a mountain pile of dead bodies of gods and titans he slain.

"Sweet dreams, my dear little Serpent."

....

Outside the Forest of α’π–΄ΜˆπŒƒπŒ€π‹, a hooded figure stood there, a brewing storm above the man. He then walked away since the magical runes are protecting the forest and he can't get past, "Your days are numbered, πŒ€πŒ”π–΄πŒ“πŒ€." The man warned as he walked off into the snowy abyss never to be seen again, taking the storm with him.

Another being in a form a crow watched from a branch, it couldn't enter as well. It was only there to scout if the barrier weaken and it did. It seemed that it hasn't been renewed yet, the crowd manage to slip through and found the hidden village.

"Found You!" The man who saw through the crow's eyes said with please of the good news.

.....

The next day, a day like no other, it was Musian Day, a day where many people gather to to find their friend or significant other. πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘ was more nervous since he never seen much people before.

"Ready?" she asked. She wanted her son to enjoy the Musian Day for her. He didn't know how to interact with any of the kids, that was one of his weaknesses, he can't communicate with his fellow people.

"Hello…" πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘ shyly greeted. The moms looked at the kid and screamed in pure blessings to see such a cute kid. His shyness made most of the other kids jealous or shocked, they never seen a child cute as him.

"Aww look at him."

"He's so cute!"

"I want him!"

"Hey! No fair, I want to take him home with."

The boy blushes widely, his mother than pulled him away, jealous of the other women crowding the innocent boy.

This was the day, he was finally getting his first friend. "π–΄ΜˆπŒ”π‹πŒ€πŒ‹πŒ†πŒŠ" the kids saw red strings on their fingers. It was the village chief, he was the most prideful and the caretaker of the village. He created a separate dimension from Midgard to hide us Demis' from the gods and titans.

The red strings were known to find a significant other, this made πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘ a bit nervous. He never met anyone in this village because he felt better in the house. He then noticed the red string being connected, he looked at his mother who smiled warmly.

"Go follow it, little Serpent."

He nodded and followed the string it led outside the village center and walked to the west to follow the string.

At the warm spring lake, he saw a 6 year old girl her face, upper arms, and upper torso are dark in color. Her hair is long and feathery. Fluffy white fur covers her rabbit-like ears, forearms, legs, and lower body, starting at her hips. One of Faputa's most noticeable traits is her four arms. On each of her hands are 3 large red claws, which act as fingers, with the forth and fifth folded away. Futhermore her folded away fingers have hidden delicate talons with sensing organs that function similar to the sense of smell. Red claw like protrusions are also on her hair, her knees, and the ends of her feet, similar to hooves.

Her eyes are yellow with large, rounded pupils. Behind her are 5 tails, which spread out in a fan.

Her appearance made the boy's heart race, his 3 hearts beating rapidly. He never saw anyone more beautiful than her. Arngrim them looked to see there were actually two string, it was strange for someone to have two lovers.

He then walked up to see the dark skin girl laughing with a young girl, her skin pure red, her smooth jet black hair had no light reflecting it. Her beautiful red eyes, the sunlight gleaming off it as if she was a shiny treasure that can be found in the darkest of night. Two small red horns with blacks tips showed past her bangs.

"Uh…hello…" he waved gentle startling the two girls.

"Who are you?!" They asked in unison before looking at his eyes. He was the rumored shut in, they saw the red strings connected to his and were shocked

"My…name is πŒ€πŒ“β΅α˜πŒ“πŒ†πŒ‘. What's..your name?" He was so nervous he was sweating bullets.

"My name is πŒ€πŒ›π–΄πŒ•πŒ€ and this is πŒŠπ‹πŒπŒ“πŒ€!" She introduced her and the black hair oni. He never knew what πŒ€πŒ›π–΄πŒ•πŒ€ was. Her species were said to be immortal monsters that were able to roam Midgard however they pleased.

"Nice to meet you two." He said holding his hands out. They both giggled at his shyness it was good to see them already laughing at him.

"So, I guess this makes us 3 lovers, huh?"

Khora and Arngrim both blushed a shade and nodded gently. It truly made Aputa happy especially since she knew more than the others about love.

"So want to join us?" πŒŠπ‹πŒπŒ“πŒ€ asked. The boy thought about it for a few moments.

"Sure.." then he was thrown into the hot springs. The water was so hot yet soothing his muscles. His mind more clearer than ever. It almost felt like his body was melting like an ice shard in the hot desert.

…

"I hope things…like this can never change."
