Game 1 was as underwhelming as it could get, but everyone knew it was solely down to one person.
Vasari was a complete unknown coming into this event, making it impossible to devise a strategy to counter him. It also didn't help that the environment was hostile to the way the Eastern Knights Sect typically fought.
But it seemed luck was on their side as the battle stage for the second game was more orthodox.
"Vasari, sorry about earlier."
Vasari was glancing around when he heard Jiang Xia next to him apologising. He turned around, placed his hand on her head, and spoke in the most calm voice he could muster.
"I don't even know what you're apologising for. If it wasn't for you, I might've been eliminated."
"But you still got hurt because of me."
"It's just a scratch, look it's already healed," Vasari said while rolling up his sleeves to show her his shredded forearms, huge biceps and monstrous triceps.
"See."
