Chapter 47 - A monster

Akira turned her head to see her master's figure dangling in the air trying to break free by kicking his legs but it only made him look even more pathetic in the eyes of his disciple.

"Alejandro what's taking so long~" a pretty woman wrapped in white sheets walked out of the room. She had similar features to Akira due to them being from the same clan.

The first thing she saw after walking through the doorway was the man that was just ploughing her strangling mid-air with his legs swinging back and forth like a child.

"Alejandro!" She screamed in fear. Ever since she joined Aqua Poppy Sect Alejandro was seen as a god. Bar the Sect Leader, Alejandro was the most powerful in the sect and when she had the opportunity to become his disciple she took it with both hands. When he asked her for sex she would happily agree and thought it was her duty and privilege as his disciple. To her and even Akira, seeing their master in such a state was so unbelievably unbelievable that they stood frozen and watched in shock.

"So A-L-E-J-A-N-D-R-O if I let you go will you behave?"

Alejandro rapidly nodded his head with pleading eyes. Vasari released him causing the elder to fall to his knees and start coughing profusely after desperately breathing in air that he was just deprived of.

Elder Alejandro looked up at the handsome young man in front of him with fear evident in his pupils. He was a peak mana body stage cultivator on the verge of breaking through to the next realm yet he was manhandled like a toddler by a boy not even 17 years of age, in front of his favourite disciples no less. How humiliating.

"Alejandro!"

"Master!"

Akira and the other women ran to assist their master. They helped him to his feet before he shoved them slightly in embarrassment.

The woman in white sheets furiously and daringly turned to face the man who in her mind, sneak attacked her master. There was no other explanation for his loss other than that.

"Hey asshole what do you think you're doing?" She was so blind in rage that she did not even care for Vasari's looks.

"Miranda stop it!" Akira pulled her cousin back and covered her mouth with her hand. Unlike her cousin, she had no disillusions about Vasari's strength. She regretted bringing a monster like him here.

"Young lord, may I ask what you are doing here?" Elder Alejandro asked with a raspy voice. His tone was respectful and the way he addressed Vasari changed from 'mister' to 'young lord'.

"My stupid grandfather dropped me above the sect and I accidentally landed in your hot springs pool." Vasari smiled innocently causing Akira to roll her eyes. Who was he trying to fool with that made-up story?

"Ah, I see I see. I apologise for attacking you so suddenly young lord."

"Water under the bridge. Now, I would ask to talk inside but the odour coming from that room is too unpleasant for a decent conversation."

"I apologise once again young lord, I was not expecting visitors. Please wait while I make myself presentable. Akira, escort this young lord to the main guest house."

Akira nodded and released Miranda before walking past Vasari.

"Please follow me, Vasari."

Vasari nodded one and followed behind Akira until they were out of sight of Elder Alejandro and Miranda.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! Why? Do they know?!?!" Elder Alejandro collapsed back onto his knees and held his head in his arms as he had a mental breakdown.

"Alejandro, what's wrong?"

"What's wrong? WHAT'S WRONG?! We are fucked! Do you know who that man was just now? No, you don't, because the only thing you're good for is receiving dick! That young man is from the Cloud Haven Sect who most likely sent him here to investigate why they lost contact with our planet and why all their Spatial Portals were destroyed. If they find out we helped the Church of Prasufis then we are doomed to live the rest of our lives as slaves!"

Miranda's eyes shot wide open in disbelief. If it's true what Elder Alejandro said then she just called a disciple from the Cloud Haven Sect an asshole. She didn't even register anything her Master said after that nor did she care.

"Get cleaned up and look presentable. We have to somehow salvage the situation. Luckily he looks young and will be easy to fool."

"Please make yourself comfortable. I'm sure Elder Alejandro will be here shortly." Akira bowed and prepared to leave but was stopped by Vasari.

"Why so respectful all of a sudden? I liked you better when you were assertive." Vasari sat down on the couch and patted the cushion next to him. "Come sit down, I still have some questions."

Akira turned around and took a seat next to Vasari.

"What do want to know?"

"I didn't expect you to have such a…close relationship with your master."

Akira knew he was teasing her when she saw his cheeky grin and curved eyebrows.

"It-it's not like that. The sect encourages disciples to sleep with each other and the elders. The sect leader is known to be a pervert who has hundreds of women in his harem and every year he chooses new disciples to warm his bed. I guess the entire sect has picked up his habits."

"So that's why your junior sisters were so forward huh?"

"Yes. I'm not a fan of the sect's practices but since I'm a disciple here I have learnt to adapt."

"I get it. This sect leader, I'm guessing is also searching for this tomb correct?"

"Yes, he took most of the elders and disciples with him."

Vasari didn't ask any more questions causing the atmosphere to quickly turn awkward.

"Uhm Vasari, what is your cultivation?" She still couldn't believe how easily Vasari stopped her master and she just had to know out of curiosity. She guessed that he was on the same level as the sect leader.

"I'm at the Supreme Qi stage."

"Huh? Come on Vasari. I answered your questions seriously you know, there's no need to lie."

"I am serious. Your master is at the Mana body stage but his foundation is weak and his knowledge lacking, it's no surprise he was so pathetically weak."

Vasari already fought against a mana body stage cultivator in the CloudBar but this elder was nowhere near the same level as that guy even without using techniques.

'Weak foundation and poor knowledge?? Master is one of the most powerful cultivators on the planet. How can his foundation be weak? I bet this idiot used some power-boosting pill or something and now he thinks he is some hotshot.'

Akira felt that Vasari was lying to make himself look stronger, which made him look deplorable in her eyes.

As if sensing her doubt, Vasari continued. "It's okay if you don't believe me but with him as your master, you won't be able to reach the next realm in your lifetime."

"You don't know what you're talking about. You're just a lying pervert who stalks young girls in hot springs and uses external means to fight those better than you."

Not giving the clueless girl any more attention, Vasari rested his legs on the tea table in front of the couch and leaned his head back. He thought the young woman sitting next to him had the potential to reach greater heights but unfortunately, he had misjudged her character. She was too emotionally attached to her master and although she said she did not like the practices of the sect, Vasari knew she was just telling herself that for her own satisfaction.

'What a pity.'

10 minutes later, Elder Alejandro arrived with his disciple in tow.

"Sorry for making you wait young lord."

"It's fine. I'll get straight to the point. I need a guide who is well-educated about this planet. Is there anyone currently in the sect who fits the criteria"

"I'm not sure young lord. Most of the disciples and elders are with the sect leader."

"Ooh I know someone very smart and I think she will be able to help you, young master. Allow me to get her." Miranda's eyes lit up. This was an opportunity to get into the good books of a Cloud Haven Disciple and he will hopefully forget that she called him an asshole.

"If you say so. Get her."

After waiting another few minutes, Miranda arrived alongside another young woman. While waiting for Miranda to return, Elder Alejandro tried to start conversations with Vasari but was rudely treated like air by the young man.

"Young master this is Hiromi. She is a Core disciple and very knowledgeable about everything outside the sect."

"Greeting young master. I heard that you require a guide?"

Vasari nods his head in satisfaction, 'She has a good voice.'

"Yes, I require a useful guide. Will you accompany me?"

Hiromi nodded so aggressively that Elder Alejandro and his disciples thought her head would fly off her neck.

"I am willing." How could she not be? Just a single glance at Vasari made her little sister tingle in joy and she was smart enough to realise that his backing was powerful enough to make the strongest Elder in the sect act like a meek junior.

"Okay let's go."

Vasari stood up from the couch and quickly appeared standing next to Hiromi with his arm around her waist.

"Huh, w-wait are we leaving right now?" Unexpectedly feeling his strong arm around her waist made her jump in fright but it wasn't uncomfortable.

"Of course, I have no time to waste."

And just like that, under the stupefied expressions of the 3 other people in the room, Vasari picked up Hiromi in a princess carry and walked out of the guest house.

"Fuck fuck fuck fuck! I have to let the sect leader know about this!" Elder Alejandro sprinted out of the house, making his way back to his residence leaving the cousins alone in the house.

Akira felt like she just got kicked right in the gut. She felt like she had wasted an amazing opportunity, but knew not the reason why.

Seeing her cousin's unsightly face, Miranda decided to rub a little salt into her wounds.

"Little Cousin, did you know that he's a disciple of the Cloud Haven Sect? Apparently, he is here on a top-secret mission."

Akira's face turned even more unsightly as she registered her cousin's words. She instantly realised why she felt an opportunity just passed her by. There was an opportunity to leave this dwarf planet and move to the next level, yet she threw it away for a master only interested in her body. She felt like a complete idiot and wanted to dig a hole and live there forever.

Satisfied with her cousin's downfall, Miranda left the house with a content smile. She walked 5 metres without realising that her head was no longer connected to her neck.

In front of her laid another body sprawled on the ground that she was all too familiar with, without a head attached to its body.

Vasari stood atop the roof of the guest house with a sword tightly gripped in his right hand.

His left hand clasped the hair of 3 heads that dangled slightly above the tiles of the roof. Two of the heads had wavy brown hair and the third had dirty blond hair.

"I can't have the Church of Prasufis knowing about me just yet."

Vasari's lonely figure disappeared and 3 heads rolled off the roof, landing on the hard ground just outside the guest house, where they would only be found after a few weeks.

"Ready to go?"

"Yes, I'm all packed up. Where did you go just now?"

"There was a slight problem I had to take care of. No biggie."
