Early the next morning, Vasari was the first one in the house to wake up and decided to cook breakfast for the ladies.
Talia woke up soon after he did and wanted to help him cook even though she was terrible at it. However, her embarrassment was worth it since she got to spend some quality alone time with Vasari. Jiang Xia and Gia got out of bed just in time for breakfast while Witney, as usual, woke up last.
It was quite the scene when Witney came running into the lounge butt-naked and panic-stricken, she had thought the previous night was just a dream and Vasari was still away on his mission causing her to overreact.
Fortunately, that wasn't the case, and after calming down and putting on some clothes, she joined them for breakfast.
"What are your plans for today, Vasari?" Gia asked before throwing a juicy green grape into her mouth.
"House hunting. The sect will be kicking us out of the student residences soon so I need to find a house."
"Aren't houses really expensive? Most new disciples rent out places together and split the cost between or if they are lucky enough they will be noticed by someone from a faction and be recruited." Talia knew from her older sisters how difficult it was to buy a house so she was surprised by his words.
"Have you girls been approached by a faction yet?"
"Yep, all 4 of us. They said we can move into their faction houses whenever we want." Gia answered.
"We all got into a faction in the top 20." Jiang Xia added.
"Oh, you didn't mention this last night, tell me more."
"Well, I joined the 'Cloud Defenders' who are currently 5th, Gia joined the 'Earth Eagles' who are 17th, Jiang Xia joined 'Yinmen' who are 19th, and Talia joined 'Scarlet Phoenix' who are currently 1st on the League Rankings."
"That's amazing, since all the factions you joined are in the top 20 it means you will get quality resources. I'm proud of you girls." Vasari said with a proud smile which caused them to also smile. It felt good to be praised by Vasari for some reason.
"Come hurry up and finish eating, we have a lot we need to do."
"We?" Jiang Xia asked with confusion.
"Yes, we. You girls are helping me find a house considering you will be living there after all."
"Huh? But we can stay at the Faction houses." Gia countered, she didn't want Vasari to pay extra just to accommodate them when they already had a place to stay.
"No, I don't want you living with strangers all by yourself. You don't know what kind of people will be staying there with you." Vasari's tone was absolute and his words irrevocable. They were staying with him and that's that.
Talia, Gia and Jiang Xia felt something stirring in their loins after hearing his dominant tone. He looked even more handsome when he put his foot down and their female instincts flared in desire.
"""ok."""
Witney grinned seeing how meek her friends became. She had no qualms about staying with Vasari, in fact, she would've forced her way in whether he liked it or not.
------
"Welcome, welcome. You must be the recently graduated students looking to rent a house together?"
A man wearing white sect robes with a blue cloud, shaped like a house, embroidered on his sleeve approached a group of 5 youths. He was shocked at how good-looking every one of them was, but being the professional that he was, he easily overcame his shock.
"We are actually here to purchase a house." Vasari corrected him and the man lifted his eyebrows before nodding in understanding.
"I understand, I apologise for my assumptions."
"Don't worry about it."
"My name is Eoin Qwuin, a senior realtor here at Cloudy Homes. What wants would like for your property and what is your budget?"
Eoin Qwuin introduced himself to the group before taking out a ManaPhone that was bigger than average.
"At least 10 bedrooms with a bathroom in each, location doesn't really matter and a large open yard for beasts to live. My budget is 8 000 Cloud Points."
Vasari had a lot of time to think about what he wanted to do with his Cloud Points. At first, he wanted to start a faction of his own, but after going through the pros and cons, he decided to create one at a later time. His cultivation at the moment was too weak and he doubted anybody would want to join his faction right now, so he decided to spend the majority of his Cloud Points on a new house.
With his women, 4 oversized wolf cubs and 4 more children due to hatch any day now, Vasari had to have a private space large enough for everyone to live comfortably.
As the male in the relationship as well as a father, he felt that he had the responsibility to keep everyone happy. If he had to spend some Cloud Points that he could eventually earn back to do so, then he would do it without batting an eyelid.
"8 000…" The realtor sucked in a cold breath and his heart rate sped up. He was going to make bank today if he could find the perfect house for this young man.
"Ok, got it. Please wait an hour and I will bring you all the available properties that suit your wants."
"Thank you."
The realtor bowed slightly before hastily making his way towards the staff room.
-----
Exactly an hour later, Eoin Qwuin came running into the lobby where Vasari and the girls were chatting on a couch.
"Ah, sir we have 3 properties that are on the market right now that I think match your wants."
"Oh, tell me about it, I would also like to personally check these properties out later."
"Yes, that is not a problem sir. The first of the properties is a 10 bedroom 11 bathroom, 3 story home, only a 10 minute walk away from the city centre. The only downside is that the yard is not the biggest and due to its popular location, it is also the most expensive, costing 7 800 Cloud Points.
The second property is about an hour's walk from the city centre. It has 11 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. The yard is large enough to easily house 3 beast mounts of average size and the price is 7 300 Cloud Points.
The third property was once used as a farm but was recently rebuilt after the owner passed away. It has 15 bedrooms and bathrooms, and a 4 000 hectare plot which is more than enough space for any sized beast to roam about. Because of the distance from the city centre, it is the cheapest of the 3, but it takes an average aerial Adult-stage beast approximately an hour to reach the city centre when moving at top speed. This property will cost you 6 500 Cloud Points."
Vasari had his left hand resting under his chin as he listened to the specs of the houses. From just the descriptions alone, he already knew what house he wanted, but of course, he had to respect the opinions of the girls next to him.
"What do you girls think?" He asked nobody in particular.
The realtor had given them pamphlets so they could see the interior and exterior of the houses as well as the grounds.
"I like all of them, but if Otis and cubs are going to be living with us then I think the third property is best for us, with the only downside being the distance from the city."
"I agree with Gia, the first two options are nice, but there's not enough space for the cubs. We can always save up to buy mounts or learn some beast-taming techniques." Witney added her opinion on the matter, to which Jiang Xia and Talia also agreed.
Vasari smiled when he heard this, their thinking aligned with his, so he was happy that no disagreements were caused. He would need to purchase some mounts for them, but he didn't mind if it made everyone happy.
'How lucky am I to be surrounded by such thoughtful women.'
Vasari still wanted to personally visit the properties, so the realtor took them to each one on the back of his mount, which was a late Beta stage, Drake. The mount reminded Vasari of the Black Firedrake he encountered on planet Voxotis, however, this mount had a much thicker bloodline and was well taken care of. He kinda felt sorry for it since he could tell that the Drakes bloodline was reacting to Talia's and it was a bit frightened by it.
The girls had a blast visiting the first two properties. They would share how they would organise the furniture and what colour paint they would use for the walls, and what bedroom they would've taken and how they would style it.
For Vasari on the other hand, it was unbelievably boring. The only thing he enjoyed was hearing the passion in their voices.
"Are all women like this?" He asked the realtor standing slightly behind him.
"I've worked at this job for 80 years and I have yet to find an outlier." The realtor chuckled while still keeping it professional.
Hearing that, Vasari was glad he didn't bring the Nakata girls along. They were still stuck in the hotel, but they didn't mind since they could continue learning their new cultivation techniques.
After spending another half an hour at the second property, they were finally ready to leave for the third property.
Since they were travelling on an aerial Beta stage beast, it only took 35 minutes to get to the third property.
"This place is huge!" Witney gasped at the sight of the previous farm. Right now it was just green grass, but with some effort, they could plant some trees and other vegetation to liven up the place. It was perfect for the cubs and Otis to play around in as well as their future mounts.
Before even assessing the actual house, the girls were already sold on this property.
"""" Vasari, I want this one."""""
The only 2 males on the beast smiled wryly. They should've brought them to this property first instead of wasting hours at the others.
-----
"So that will be 6 500 Cloud Points and all you have to do is sign these papers and the property will officially be yours, sir."
Vasari nodded and paid the 6 500 Cloud Points to the realtor. Before picking up the pen to sign the papers he called Witney over.
"Do you need anything?"
"I want you to sign these papers."
"Ok." Witney didn't ask any questions and did as she was told. Her nearly blind trust in Vasari could be seen with such a small action.
"What was it that I signed?" She asked after seeing the surprised look on the face of the realtor.
"The papers to the house. Since you signed it, the property belongs to you now. Consider it the first half of my apology gift."
Witney's eyes started watering and her mouth formed a reverse crescent. She tried to hold back her tears, but when she saw Vasari's genuine smile, the floodgates opened and Vasari quickly got up to hug her.
He wouldn't have other men seeing his woman cry.
Realising it was time to take his leave, the realtor put the keys to the house on the table next to a copy of the contract and promptly left.
After crying her tears of joy, Witney raised her head and kissed Vasari on the lips before thanking him.
"Don't thank me yet. There's still another gift for you. Well technically it's for you and Talia, but I think you'll like it."
"You don't have to spoil us like this you know. Just you being here is enough of a gift for us."
"My Nana told me when I was younger that real men spoil their women and if I don't appreciate her, one day another man will come along and appreciate what I didn't.
I never want you to feel like just another girl, I want you to always remember that you are my first and my Queen."
Vasari concluded his speech with a kiss on her forehead. Witney was silent for a long time as she blankly stared at him.
In her mind, she was having trouble deciding whether today was better than her first time with Vasari or not. It was a close call, but the first time with Vasari just barely edged it.
"What's the second gift?" She asked softly.
"I'll give it to you later." Vasari wiped Witney's cheeks which still had tear marks and kissed her eyes lids before continuing, "Let's get the others and fetch the pups before picking up Hiromi and her family. I can't wait for you to meet Hiromi, I think you girls will hit it off pretty well."
"Hmph we'll see." Vasari chuckled at her terrible tough girl act and walked her outside the house where the girls had been waiting.
"Vasari, how are we going to get back to the student residence to get the cubs and our stuff?" Gia asked as soon as Vasari and Witney walked out the front door.
"…crap."
The realtor and his Drake was their ride back and he left after Vasari signed the contract. It wasn't the realtor's fault however, he thought they had all their belongings in their spatial rings so they wouldn't need a ride back into the city.
Although the girls did have most of their belongings with them, they still had some clothes and miscellaneous items left in their rooms that they wanted.
"Don't worry, I'll go get everything. You girls can choose which rooms you want so long and do whatever you want to the house."
Vasari prepared himself to run a marathon and after stretching all the main muscles loose, he kicked up a cloud of dust and sprinted back to the student residences.
5 minutes later, while the girls were deciding who get what room, Gia suddenly realised something.
"Couldn't we have just called one of Vasari's friends to bring Otis over to us?"
"…"
"…"
