"Hello sir, would you mind telling me your name?"
"Davion Thornton."
"Your age?"
"18 years, 7 months and 22 days."
The receptionist glanced to her right, and seeing a ball no larger than a tennis ball light up green, she nodded and continued her questions.
"How many beasts did you kill in the mission to protect the town called Grimdale from a beast tide?"
"I don't know the exact number, but it was between 140 to 170 Adult-stage beasts."
The receptionist raised a brow, but when she glanced at the ball still glowing green, she relaxed.
"Okay, then I will give you 800 Cloud Points which equals 160 Adult-stage beasts."
DT nodded, took out his Cloud Badge and watched how his Cloud Points increased by 800. He walked out of the Mission Hall with a beaming smile and hop in his step. He saw Vasari and Jaxon standing not far away, so he walked to them.
"Yo, how many cloud points did you guys get?"
"I got 850," Jaxon said.
"I got 2500." Vasari casually said. DT and Jaxon looked at him with strange eyes.
"How?" DT asked in disbelief. He was sure Vasari only killed around 20 Beta-stage beasts which would give him more or less 1000 cloud points.
"I get the points that Hiromi, Kurumi and Hozomi earned."
"Aaaaahhhhhh."
"Oooooohhhh."
DT and Jaxon slowly nodded their heads while experiencing sudden enlightenment. They both had new goals which would solve 2 problems in one.
"Vasari, do you still want to do the other mission?" His determination to increase his Cloud Points was strengthened after obtaining a new goal.
"Let's rest for a few days. Use some of the money to buy your own crossbows and explosive arrows, it's very effective. Also, if you can, buy a healing pill or two. We never know what could happen."
The boys nodded, and after a few minutes of talking, they went their separate ways.
Vasari had already sent the Nakata girls home together with the cubs.
As he was about to climb onto Otis, he heard a familiar voice that he hasn't heard in what felt like forever.
"Little Dragon Vasari, you were gone for such a long time that it seems you forgot about this pitiful teacher."
Vasari turned around with a big toothy smile when he heard the voice. How could he forget all the times she punched him into the school gym walls and left all those bruised on his body? And he definitely couldn't forget her shy behaviour whenever he teased her.
"How could I ever forget the beautiful and charming Miss Covington? Capturing the hearts of students and disciples alike with her vixen-like appearance. No, I definitely couldn't forget. I was merely heartbroken when you ran away after we kissed. My heart bled at the idea that you thought it was a mistake. And even now, after all this time, my heart pains at the thought."
The woman standing opposite Vasari felt her eyebrows twitch and her ears redden. 'Does this boy have no shame, how can he lie so blatantly?!'
"You say that, but you have a whole bevvy of beauties around you."
"To fill the void you left in my heart."
"Pfft, that was corny."
"Well, it worked, I got to hear the laugh I missed so much."
Miss Covington's face turned beet red for a second before she controlled her emotions, returning to her usual appearance.
She wasn't wearing her pencil skirt, Whitt shirt and blazer she would wear at school but her Outer Haven Elder robes. The light blue robe perfectly hugged her curvy body. The only downside was that the robes hid her perfectly shaped legs.
She still wore her glasses that served no purpose other than adding to her sexiness and her hair was now braided into a thick French plat.
"Ahem… there are actually a few important things I want to talk to you about."
Vasari's teasing smile receded into his usual confident one.
"In private…"
Vasari nodded in understanding and ordered Otis to wait for him before he followed Miss Covington to a nearby hotel. She rented the best room available for a night evoking envious stares from the receptionist before apologising after remembering that Miss Covington was an Outer Haven Elder.
As soon as they stepped into the presidential suite, there was an undeniable sense of steamy tension in the air. Miss Covington's eyes were fixed on Vasari as he made his way to the window, which offered a view of most of Outer Haven.
"So…what did you want to talk about?" Vasari asked as he sat down on a cushioned chair and 'looked' out the window.
Miss Covington felt a sharp pang in her heart when she saw this. In her spare time, she had been looking for ways to cure his blindness but had found nothing of substance yet. She had heard stories about the Archbishops of the Church of Prasufis being able to cure those who were born blind, but she doubted they would help her if she asked.
In the end, she could only keep looking and if all else fails she will continue to offer her guidance until the True Soul Realm and he can use Soul Sense to see. Although it wouldn't be the same, it was better than nothing.
"I see you have injuries, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just scratches." Vasari chuckled, "Is that all you wanted to ask?"
"Ah, no!" Miss Covington hurriedly spoke out, but after realising how nervous she was, she calmed down.
"Do you remember when I taught you about the powers of the Westernord Continent?"
"The 11 First-rate powers?"
"Yes, well…" Miss Covington continued to explain the situation of the Scented Fjord and why the Mystic Aqualon Ore was so highly sought after.
Vasari was amused by the whole situation but frowned when she mentioned the top 10 students being sent there for some reason. He found it suspicious and didn't like it one bit, mainly because Witney, Talia, Jiang Xia, Gia, Jude and Jett were in the top 10.
With a frown, he voiced what was on his mind, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Well, there's a little rumour that the Core Elders of the 5 Sects at the Scented Fjord came up with a plan to settle who gets the Fjord without starting an all-out war."
"Let me guess, they want to settle it with a tournament or something?"
"With those in the Mortal Ascension Realm to be exact."
Vasari felt like rolling his sealed eyes when he heard this. "I'm going to take another wild guess, so correct me if I'm wrong. The sect wants me to also participate in this tournament?"
"Wow, Vasari you're so smart! Have you been studying plenty while you were gone?"
Vasari's lips formed a straight line when he heard her sarcasm.
"Why should I?"
"Well for one, you'll get some Mystic Aqualon Ore if we win and secondly, I heard the other Sects have geniuses even stronger than Alex. One even has an Empyrean Grade Physique, and the other has the Bloodline of a Fire Qilin, which is said to be even better than some Dragon Bloodlines."
A massive smile adorned Vasari's handsome face after Miss Covington finished her sentence.
"Why didn't you start with that? When do we leave?"
Miss Covington giggled at his sudden excitement. It was moments like these, that she realised that Vasari was just an eighteen-year-old boy.
"In 3 days. The others will leave before us because the sect is gifting you a custom-made artefact."
"Oh, why the special treatment?"
"It's an apology from the Sect Master himself. He's having his brother, one of the best Blacksmiths on the Westernord Continent, make it."
Vasari could hear the excitement oozing from her voice, but it was clear that Miss Covington didn't know the reason for the apology.
'I wouldn't be surprised if this 'gift' had an ulterior motive behind it.' Vasari thought. He had zero trust with the Sect Master or any of the old monsters under him, and he had every reason to think so.
"You don't seem too excited?"
"Well, I can't get excited about something I know nothing about. Is there anything else you wanted to ask me?"
Vasari said as he got to his feet and slowly walked towards Miss Covington.
"There's one more thing."
"What?"
"What did you think of Elder Lana?"
Vasari raised his right eyebrow in confusion before a cheeky smirk found its way onto his face.
"Why are you asking about her? Are you jealous?" Vasari said while placing his hands on either side of Miss Covington's waist and leaning his head closer to hers.
Miss Covington's heart pumped harder when she smelt Vasari's scent which overwhelmed her senses, and the feeling of his large hands around her waist. She hadn't noticed before, but he was much taller than he was before which made her feel smaller than she was.
She was tall for a woman, standing at 180cm tall, but standing in front of Vasari made her feel tiny.
"I-I was just wondering if she did anything to you?"
"Are you talking about the funny scent she exudes? Do you have that little faith in me?"
Miss Covington meekly nodded at his first question before quickly shaking her head at his second.
"The only scent that can intoxicate me…is yours."
Vasari leaned in even closer before sensually whispering into her ear. Feeling his hot breath caress her skin sent the Outer Haven Elder crazy. And when Vasari started softly kissing the area behind her ear before moving to her neck, all she could do was softly moan as she submitted to his touch.
After leaving multiple small red spots on her neck, claiming it as his, Vasari moved up and kissed her inviting lips.
Their tongues entered a battle for dominance, but Miss Covington quickly surrendered under his relentless attack. The presidential suite was filled with her sultry, muffled moans as Vasari reached down and started kneading her juicy ass.
When their lips separated, Miss Covington spoke with a breathless voice.
"Vasari, we can't go too far. Our cultivation…"
Vasari nearly slapped his forehead when he remembered this crucial detail.
'Damnit! I forgot to ask Joanna for those pills.'
Although frustrated, Vasari didn't show it on his face. Instead, he smiled, removed her glasses and gently kissed her forehead.
"I know. We don't need to do all that yet. It's enough to know that you won't run away this time."
Vasari chuckled, but that came to an abrupt halt when he felt a fist impact his abdomen.
Seeing him trying to keep a straight face made Miss Covington laugh before she felt bad and kissed him again.
For the next 2 hours, the former student and teacher made out and explored each other's bodies.
