Chapter 81 - Chapter 81 Betrayal

"So interesting," Shung Yun muttered as he sensed the wrath shift in the area containing the dantian unsealing realm cultivators.

Whoosh!! Purcch!!

"Guchun!!" Bai Qhan's scream sounded out as he hopped down from his horse before dashing towards the pierced Mr. Guchun.

Turning his head backwards to confirm the person that betrayed him by plunging a spear through his back, Mr. Guchun was both confused and sad as he asked Tuo Huiwen, "why did you do it?"

"I owed a debt," Tuo Huiwen said as the spiritual Qi flowing through the Inscriptions on his spear exploded, shredding through the organs and tissues in Mr. Guchun's body.

No longer having any remnant of anger after seeing the blood mist in front of him dispersing, Mr. Guchun turned away from Tuo Huiwen before looking at the fast approaching Bai Qhan, "see you later, old friend."

"Die, you filth!" Bai Qhan roared as his past emotions flooded through his sea of consciousness at the scene of Mr. Guchun's death.

Pulling his outstretched left hand facing Tuo Huiwen backward and closing his palm into a fist in the process, a tenth of his spiritual Qi was expended as a huge opened palm formed from strings appeared behind the betrayal before closing in on him.

Quickly letting go of his spear stuck in Mr. Guchun's body, Tuo Huiwen directed his spiritual Qi towards his right hand before throwing his fist at the huge strings palms.

Boom!!

Forced to retreat after clashing with the huge stringed palm attack, he rolled backwards for a few fts before coming to a stop.

Waving away the doubt in his heart concerning Tuo Huiwen, the second elder from the Tanji family quickly got into action in order to protect him.

Clapping his hands while facing Bai Qhan, he attacked him with two[2] waves sweeping towards him from both sides.

Whoosh!!

Dashing towards Tuo Huiwen and giving him no chance to get up, Shung Yun held his battle-axe in his right hand as his eyes turned crimson in color in response to his essence.

Arriving in front of him, he embraced the monstrous strength coursing through his body before hacking down his battle-axe on him.

Unable to quickly respond to Shung Yun's sudden appearance, Tuo Huiwen could only envelope his body with his spiritual Qi in a bid to defend against the ruthlessly descending axe.

Bllsh!! Splash!

Giving Tuo Huiwen's gruesome corpse an indifferent look, Shung Yun squatted beside it before taking off the silver ring from his cold ring finger.

!!

"Everyone should stand down," a voice sounded out as a water curtain separated Shung Yun and Bai Qhan from the two[2] elders of the Tanji family.

"Thank you," Bai Qhan said to Shung Yun as he pulled out the spear in Mr. Guchun's back.

"I did it for him," Shung Yun said before taking the female doll from his storage ring and passing it to Bai Qhan.

"That's Mr. Guchun!" the male inner court disciple who met with Shung Yun for his bounty reward uttered with a shock expression on his face as he looked at the corpse beside Bai Qhan.

"How could they go so far in the town?" the lower-stage elder of the inner court of Flowing River Sect was completely confused as he looked at Mr. Guchun's corpse.

"Can you all tell me exactly what happened here?" a commander of the Yuhan Enforcement Unit asked as he arrived with three[3] squads containing a total of nine[9] Qi birth realm enforcers.

"Mr. Guchun got into an argument with young master Bokan of Tanji family, which quickly escalated to a conflict," Shung Yun quickly spoke up after hearing the commander's question, "young master Bokan was killed by Mr. Guchun, who later lost his life to his employee, Tuo Huiwen."

Hearing no opposing view from the two[2] elders from the Tanji family, the commander asked, "and you are?"

"Mr. Guchun's business partner," Shung Yun said as he answered the commander's question, "he was trying to protect me from the oppression of young master Bokan before losing his life in the process."

"Why was young master Bokan oppressing you?" the commander asked Shung Yun.

"Because I refused to sell my wild-horse to him," Shung Yun conveyed to the commander as crystalline liquids slowly accumulated in his eyes, "it's the only thing I have left belonging to my deceased parents."

"Is it worth it?" the second elder belonging to the Tanji family thought as he looked at Mr. Guchun's corpse, "taking care of a threat at the cost of a prodigy of the family?"

Receiving no answer to his question, he sighed before looking at the upper-stage middle aged male commander, "order your subordinates to surround Mr. Guchun's building and stop everyone from leaving. My family head will decide what happens to it."

"Esteemed seniors," Shung Yun said as he looked at the commander and the second elder of Tanji family, "with the death of Mr. Guchun and Tuo Huiwen, the inscription company over there currently has no suitable heir among the employees to take control of it, leaving me with no choice but to carry on the mantle of my mentor and business partner."

"Guchun killed our young master; his death alone isn't enough to clear his crime," the second elder said as his gaze on Shung Yun hardened, "you're the cause of this conflict. Your life will be required to accompany young master Bokan in walking the Nether Realm."

"Make a move on him if you dare?" Bai Qhan's voice sounded as he carried a female doll on his left hand while his aura dampened the air in the surrounding.

"Be calm, Elder Feng. The damage on the town is already high enough," the commander said to the second elder of Tanji family present, "and from what I've gotten since I came, the kid did nothing wrong to warrant death."

"If he warrants death or not, that will be decided by my family head," the second elder of Tanji family present said.

"Let's leave," Taizhun said to his cousin as he stood up from his cross-legged position after trying to recover from his internal injury.

"Alright," Elder Feng said as he picked up the storage ring and the damaged protective necklace left behind at young master Bokan's death.

Watching the elders leave, the excitement gotten from the just concluded conflict slowly dispersed from Shung Yun's body as he thanked Bai Qhan and the commander before turning towards the representatives of the Flowing River Sect.

"Greetings, seniors," he said to the two[2] members of the Flowing River Sect while cupping his fists, "was my request granted?"

Not answering Shung Yun's question, the inner court elder said, "the Sect Mistress will only agree to your request if you decide to handover a flat to our Flowing River Sect."

"Alright," Shung Yun said as he instantly agreed to the condition of the Sect Mistress of the Flowing River Sect.

Surprised by Shung Yun's response, Xunqja was totally silent as wind slowly returned back to the area affected by the battle.

"At least, he knows his limit," the male inner court disciple thought as he acknowledged Shung Yun's current attitude, "in the presence of the sect, every other powers are fleeting clouds."

"I can't predict the thoughts and actions of others," convincing himself with that, Xunqja said to Shung Yun, "the Sect will announce to all ears tomorrow that your estate has our support. We'll also send two[2] outer sect disciples to stand guard in the entrance of your building site."

"I'm truly grateful for the generosity of the Sect Mistress. May the storms bless her with the treasures of the sea," Shung Yun said as his right hand touched the edges of his shoulders, his naval, and then the center of his head.

"Praise the storms," Elder Xunqja said as he responded with the hand gestures of the ancient believers.
