Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 Lucky Winner

"Inform me after you've gotten the required land," a middle-stage elderly man said to the middle-stage teenager sitting across the stool from him as he held an envelope in his hand, "I'll inspect it before I start drawing the plan for the estate."

"I will. Thanks for meeting me in person, senior Hyung," Shung Yun said as he stood up from the seat opposite his host.

"It's alright. Tell Guchun I said hi," Tang Hyung said to Shung Yun as he tapped the envelope in his hand a couple of times before stopping.

"I will," Shung Yun said as he walked out of the luxurious mansion of the famous architectural, Tang Hyung.

Looking at the rays of the sun piercing through a cloud, he muttered, "I still have hours before I meet up with senior Bai Qhan and get into his good books."

After muttering that, he walked out of the gate of the mansion before getting on Haru's back and riding deeper into the streets of inner sanctum.

Arriving at a pet store, he bought a hawk worth fifteen[15] duan silver pieces before leaving the premises.

With fierce beasts already having a supreme dominant over wild and domestic beasts of their race, Shung Yun easily subdued the hawk with his beast aura, creating a telepathic link between them.

"You're to fly round the inner sanctum of the town and get me a bird's-eye view of it," he said while the hawk stood on his held out left hand.

"I… I understand, my liege," the hawk said with trepidation.

"It's my king, birdie," Mangro said as he brought out his head from Shung Yun's left sleeve.

Having an innate dislike towards hawks due the history of snakes being preyed upon by the hawks and the eagles, he plans to have some fun with the new member.

Sensing Mangro's aura and seeing the ruthless glow in his eyes, the hawk swallowed hard as it shivered in terror.

"Up you go," Shung Yun said as he gave the hawk the permission to fly, freeing it from Mangro's oppression.

"Thank you, my king," the hawk chirped before flying away as fast as it could.

"He learns fast," Mangro grinned as he slowly withdrew his head into Shung Yun's left sleeve.

"Now, what to do," Shung Yun said as he put his brain to work.

"Aha!" he clapped his hands as he remembered something that might end up being interesting after four[4] seconds brain work, "I almost forgot that I have a lucky winner that have to show me a sorrow expression on his face."

"Let's go get you a carriage, Haru," he said as he rocked the halter on Haru's neck, prompting the bewildered wild-horse to move forward.

Not interested in wasting his duan pieces to get a carriage in the inner sanctum of the town, he directed Haru towards the market avenue in the outer sanctum of the town.

Getting a light, black colored carriage with some hints of red decorated on it, he connected it to Haru's neck before riding towards the address written on the manual he got from the Unveiling Eye Organization.

"Shung Yun? What are you doing with a carriage?" an enforcer putting on a helmet with a spear on his hand asked the black colored carriage driver.

Recognizing the voice of the enforcer, Shung Yun said, "I'm on my way to pick someone important to me. Didn't know you'll choose to join the town's enforcers, Hai Yu."

"Be fast, Hai Yu. We can't waste time standing here," one of the two[2] enforcers with Hai Yu said as he stopped his horse from moving forward.

"I got it," Hai Yu said to his colleague before looking back at Shung Yun, "we'll discuss when we meet up this evening."

"Alright," Shung Yun said as he rocked the halter connected to Haru's neck after Hai Yu and his colleagues had ridden off.

Riding for eleven[11] minutes before stopping in front of a three[3] story building, Shung Yun climbed down from Haru's back before climbing the stairs to the second floor of the building.

With the status and finances of Wang Li, he was able to rent an apartment in one of minority of buildings in the outer sanctum of Yuhan Town that each floor contains only a single standard apartment for his family.

Knock!! Knock!!

Opening the wooden door a few seconds after the knocks, a middle-stage female teenager of sixteen[16] looked stunned for an instant before asking while arranging her hair, "h..how may I help you?"

"Hi! Is senior brother Wang Li at home?" with a smile on his face, Shung Yun asked Wang Li's younger sister.

"Big brother isn't at home. Are you a disciple of the Flowing River Sect?" the sixteen[16] years female teenager asked curiously.

"That's right. I just became a disciple this year," Shung Yun said with hints of proudness in his voice.

"Nuo, who's at the door!?" voice sounded out from the room after eighteen[18] seconds since Wang Nuo opened the door.

"It's a junior of big brother from the Flowing River Sect," Wang Nuo spoke out loud as she responded to the voice.

"Quickly invite him!" the voice sounded out again with some agitation behind it.

"I know, dad!" Wang Nuo sounded upset as she yelled louder than required.

"Come in ….," she said before coming to a stop after hitting an end point.

"It's Gui Be," Shung Yun said after noticing the awkward situation Wang Nuo was in.

"C..come in, Gui Be," Wang Nuo stuttered as she tried to hide her flushed face.

Entering the room to find an upper-stage middle aged man, a middle-stage middle aged woman, and a lower-stage female youth, Shung Yun cupped his fists as he greeted, "junior greets seniors."

"You don't have to be so courteous," the upper-stage middle aged man said as he walked towards Shung Yun while putting on a smile, "the junior of my son is also my son."

"Thank you, senior," Shung Yun said as he brought his hands down to his sides, "I heard from junior sister that senior brother Li isn't at home."

"That's right," the upper-stage middle aged man said as he glanced as his youngest daughter before looking back at Shung Yun, "he hasn't come home to visit us for over three[3] weeks now. Is everything okay?"

"I don't know. He went for a mission a week ago and hasn't come back since then. I thought he would've come to stay with you all for a while before coming back to the sect, but it seems I was wrong," Shung Yun looked sad as he spoke to the upper-stage middle aged man.

"No!" the middle-stage middle aged woman exclaimed with widen eyes as she loosely sat down on the seat behind her.

"Pull yourself together, woman!" the upper-stage middle aged man shouted as he looked at his wife, "he hasn't returned doesn't mean he isn't going to return. He must have come across some troubles on the way."

"I also think so," Shung Yun said as he looked at the middle-stage middle aged woman, "your son is very strong. He must've just come across some issues that he couldn't ignore."

"That's right, mom. Big brother is almost an inner sect disciple. A mission given to him by his sect won't pose a trouble to him," the lower-stage female youth said as she walked towards her mother before squatting beside her.

"Big brother easily entered the Flowing River Sect when he was only seventeen[17]. There's no mission he can't complete," Wang Nuo said confidently due to her blind faith on the one who brought her family's status to a level where almost all mortals can only wish for but can never reach.

Scrss!

Thud!!

"Dad!"

"Dad!"

"Lin'er!

The three[3] females in the room screamed out in shock as the linkman of the house fell face flat on the ground.

Rushing towards the upper-stage middle aged man on the floor, Shung Yun turned his body over as he asked, "are you okay, senior?"

"What's wrong with my dad, Gui Be?" Wang Nuo asked nervously as she came to Shung Yun's side with her senior sister and her mom right behind her.

"I have no idea. I think he's paralyzed," Shung Yun said as he looked at Wang Nuo.
