Chapter 19 - Chapter 19 Impressed By Shung Yun's Humility

"Do you remember the last we went through this kind of situation? Your pleas didn't help you then, why do you think it will help you now?" Shung Yun asked the lower-stage middle aged man.

"Because, I have what you want," the lower-stage middle aged man said as he tried to look at Shung Yun.

"I'm getting bored of you now," Shung Yun sighed as he looked at Ubei, "eat his head."

"With pleasure," Ubei licked the side of the lower-stage middle aged man's face before bringing down his upper teeth.

"Waihm!!!!!" a muffled scream battled to escape Ubei's closed mouth as the lower-stage middle-stage man tossed and kicked his legs around.

Brrsh!!

Splashing tons of blood as his teeth tore through the neck of the lower-stage middle aged man, Ubei's face got covered by blood.

"He met the wrong Byui village's soldier," Shung Yun said as he let go of the lower-stage middle aged man, "are you eating his entire body?"

"If only my king lets me," Ubei said as he chewed on the lower-stage middle aged man's severed head.

"Answer a question of mine before you eat your meal," Shung Yun said to Ubei.

"My king can ask me anything," Ubei said.

"Why do you beasts eat humans?" Shung Yun asked curiously.

"Same reason you humans eat beast's meats. It's delicious," Ubei said as he swallowed the now bloody paste in his mouth.

"That's nice to know," Shung Yun said as he began walking away, "meet me at your territory. And don't forget to bring the head over there with you."

"I won't, my king," Ubei said as he began feasting on the lower-stage middle aged man's body.

"You all started without me!" Shung Yun grumbled as he arrived at the spot he left his fellow villagers.

"Here's yours," Shung Wen said as he passed a meat the size of an adult male's head to Shung Yun, "and here's some wine to take it with."

"Thanks. I'm starving," Shung Yun said as he took the meat, "keep the wine. I don't like the taste."

"Wine isn't for the taste," Shung Wen said as he uncorked the bottle before drinking its content, "it for the accumulated mental stress."

"A sweet wine that does the same thing won't be bad, right?" Shung Yun said as he invested his time to stripping the meat in his hand of its flesh,

"It definitely won't," Shung Wen said after taking out the wine bottle from his mouth.

"Why is your face covered in blood and a dent on your armor?" Byui Tang asked after inspecting Shung Yun.

"I got into a battle with two [2] cultivators from Quing village who were trying to sneak into the village," Shung Yun said as he tore off a huge chunk of flesh from the meat in his hands.

Having a serious expression on his face after hearing Shung Yun's words, Byui Tang asked, "how did it go?"

"I killed them," Shung Yun said as he continued his feast.

"Did you get any information from them?" Byui Tang asked expectantly.

"The cultivator with the information decided to keep his mouth sealed, so I gave Ubei the opportunity to have his head," Shung Yun said with less than a third of his meal remaining.

"You could have brought him back here! Maybe we might have been able to force something out of him!!" Byui Tai raised his voice at Shung Yun.

"Increase my headache again and I will increase the number of heads on Ubei's horns," Shung Yun said as he glanced at the last known member of the Byui clan's elite soldier.

"How dare yo...,"

"Keep silent!" Byui Tang cut Byui Tai off before looking at Shung Yun, "I apologize for whatever headache Byui Tai might have caused you. But you really should have brought the Quing villagers to us. We might have been able to extract information from them."

"I also tried getting information from the villager," Shung Yun said as he ate the last piece of his meal, "but I got bored of him. He couldn't understand his situation."

"That's why you should've brought him here. We have more experience in this kind of things than you do," Byui Tang said as he shook his head.

"I highly doubt that," Shung Yun said as he licked his oiled fingers, "when are we attacking the next territory?"

"Being as strong as an elite soldier doesn't mean you have the experience of one, Shung Yun," Shung Wen said as he advised Shung Yun.

"Fine. From now on, I will keep my past experience behind and learn from those with better experience than me," Shung Yun said as he un-hung the bottle on his waist before drinking the water in it.

"I'm happy that you understand," Shung Wen smiled as his impression of Shung Yun got better.

"He doesn't let his talent control him," Byui Tang and the other elite soldiers present were impressed by Shung Yun's humility.

"As for your question. We'll leave after Nue Hujin returns with the horses," Byui Tang answered Shung Yun's question.

"I will take on the leader of the beasts in each territory, so try to keep their subordinates alive," Shung Yun said to his teammates.

"Why do you need to battle the leaders of each territory?" Taichu Hong asked Shung Yun.

"To see if I can make them submit. And if I can, Ubei will no longer be alone," Shung Yun said he picked his teeth.

"Roar!" hearing a roar coming from the dense forest in front of them, the elite soldiers saw a jade horn deer carrying a severed head in its mouth and another severed horn on its horn.

"Come over," Shung Yun said to Ubei as he stood up.

Having Ubei in front of him, he removed Nue Xiu's severed head from his horn.

"Your previous battle made me realize that you won't be able to battle with severed heads stuck on your horn," he said as he also took the severed head from Ubei's mouth.

"What about the subordinates? What do you need them for?" Shung Xhao asked Shung Yun.

"To protect the territories we'll take from them. That will make our mission way faster than killing the beasts and using the powder to keep them away," Shung Yun said as his eyes moved towards the incoming middle-stage male youth with a bunch of horses, "guessed it's time to move."

"Can you really do that!?" Byui Tang's voice was shrouded with excitement as he asked Shung Yun.

"Let go find out," Shung Yun said as he leaped into Ubei's back.

"You all heard him. Leave the leaders of the beasts to him and keep their subordinates alive. Let move out!" Byui Tang said as he walked towards Nue Hujin before leaping on the back of his horse.

"If your plan really works, the clan will get more resources in the success of the mission. And you will be heavily rewarded," Shung Wen said as he rode his horse beside Ubei.

"So would you, team leader," Shung Yun said as he uncorked the bottle in his hand before drinking from it.

"Haha! I forgot you're a captain of a B squad unit," Shung Wen laughed as his horse continued forward, "would you like to join my team after becoming an elite soldier?"

"I don't have any intention to leave my soldiers yet," Shung Yun said as he hung the bottle on his waist.

"Remember my offer when you've made your choice," Shung Wen said before moving his focus away from Shung Yun.

"Ubei, how many of your kind in this forest are stronger than you?" Shung Yun asked Ubei as they trailed behind Byui Tang's horse.
