Chapter 74 - Chapter 74 Lesson

Spending a few dozens of minutes in the bar, he spent five[5] duan silver pieces for forty[40] cups of juice before leaving the bar.

Four[4] hours later...

Going through the scene of the battle in the flames in his mind, Shung Yun paid attention to the attack of the staff wielding cultivator as he tried to understand the mystical feeling he experienced during the second view of the battle.

Coming to a stop after seeing the reason behind his command to birdie, he kept his eyes close as he focused on the scenes his hawk's was currently seeing.

Forcefully dragged down from his carriage seat, the lower-stage elderly male carriage driver who received Shung Yun's carriage landed on the wet ground with his knee scraping the ground and creating an injury on it.

Bam!

"Ou!" groaning out as he got kicked on his stomach, he fell to his side before contracting his body.

"You sure are lucky, old man. Receiving a carriage worth up to two hundred[200] duan silver pieces, I can imagine what I'll do with such an amount of duan pieces if I was the one who received the carriage," a middle-stage male youth with a skinny build said as he stood a foot from the shrimped elderly man on the wet ground.

"Be fast with the old man, scorpion," a stout middle-stage male youth said as he climbed to the seat of Shung Yun's previous carriage.

Bam!

Stomping on the left side of the lower-stage elderly male carriage driver's head, causing the right side of his head to smash into the ground, the skinny build male youth place his right foot on the head of the elderly man before pressing it into the ground.

Going dizzy after having his head smashed into the paved road, the lower-stage elder male carriage driver groaned in pain after regaining his senses.

"Learn to reject gifts you can't protect in your next life," the skinny build middle-stage male youth said before taking out the dagger in the dagger-pouch on his waist and stabbing the left rib of the elderly male carriage driver, putting him in an imminent path to death.

Sheathing the dagger in the pouch, he began searching the body of his victim for possible duan pieces.

"Six[6] duan silver pieces. He must've sold his carriage after receiving this one from that rich kid," the skinny build male youth said as he took out six[6] duan silver pieces and one hundred five[105] duan copper pieces from the inner part of the elderly man's robe.

"We really hit it big this time, bear," walking towards the front of the carriage carrying a stout middle-stage male youth, he said to his partner.

"You're wrong, scorpion," the stout build middle-stage male youth said as the skinny male youth sat beside him.

"What do you mean?" the skinny build male youth called scorpion asked bear.

"I'm the one who made it big," giving no chance for his words to sink into scorpion's mind, bear smashed the rod in his hand on the skinny build male youth's head, cracking his skull and sending him to the Nether Realm.

Opening his eyes after severing his connection with birdie's vision, Shung Yun has a smile on his face as he enjoyed the entertainment brought by the three[3] mortals.

"A man's wealth is sometimes the cause of his own death," he said as he once again replayed the battle between the staff wielding cultivator and the bead necklace cultivator while trying to understand the mystical feeling he sensed from the staff attack.

Going at it for three[3] hours, he felt the mystical feeling getting clearer until it suddenly stopped after three[3] hours, prompting him to end his comprehension session for the night.

Stretching out his legs which were crossed while sitting, Shung Yun laid on the his bed as he looked at the roof of his room, he said, "I'll get back to finding the green rank bone marrow cultivation technique after I've set up my estate."

Waking up at the dispersion of the dark view in the sky, he drew in spiritual Qi before using it to cleanse his outer body and his mouth, taking care of the need of pouring water on the body and spending minutes to cleanse the mouth like he did as a mortal.

Leaving his hotel room after fifteen[15] minutes of his breakfast meal and thirty[30] minutes of his comprehension debacle, Shung Yun decided to entertain himself with dice gambling before meeting up with the landlords of his marked potential estate location.

Arriving at the casino which ran continuously without stopping or closing, he went to the section of dice rolling before joining in on game that has a stake of ten[10] duan silver pieces.

Having four[4] players around the round wooden table, they all took turn in rolling the four[4] dices through the dice cup in order to find out who will be the banker of the game.

Not so lucky to have the highest value after his roll, Shung Yun could only leave the rolling of the dices to the opponent who got the highest value in his roll.

Going nine[9] rounds in row without winning, he knew some special effects were in play, influencing the game and siphoning off his duan silver pieces.

Following through the script, the individual in charge of influencing the game to the favor of the casino decided to give Shung Yun the tenth round of the game, thereby, creating the mindset that he could really win if he went on.

Seeing through the scheme due to his experience in his past life, Shung Yun decided to play along, trying to entertain his mind with tearing through the façade of the game banker.

"I'm done," he said after going five[5] more rounds in the game, "seems my luck isn't that good today."

"Hahaha! I really understand your feeling. I remembered when something like this happened to me. I was almost down to my last duan pieces, but lady luck shined on me at the very last moment, enabling me to win four[4] rounds in a row and recovering my initial amount of duan pieces with extra tips added to it," the player sitting at Shung Yun's right said with a smile as his words drew Shung Yun's eyes to the pile of square shaped silver pieces in front of him.

"Haha! He really flinched after my words," Shung Yun thought as he immersed in the joy of fulfilling his goal after the game banker revealed an expression on his face for an instant before wiping it off his face.

"I'll try that next time," he said to the banker's accomplice before taking the sixty[60] duan pieces left on the table in front of him, "see you all later."

Leaving after his words, he headed to Mr. Guchun's business premises to wait out the remaining three[3] hours twenty[20] minutes left before his big meeting with the landlords and landladies of his future venture's location.

"How did it go with, Tang Hyung?" Mr. Guchun asked as he looked at the middle-stage male teenager sitting across him.

"He agreed to take charge of the project after I've gotten the required land," Shung Yun conveyed to Mr. Guchun.

"How are your chances of acquiring the land?" Mr. Guchun asked as he put down the quill in his hand.

"With the amount I'm willing to pay the land owners, I'll say eighty[80] percent. Not everyone will easily let go of their possessions to start anew," Shung Yun said.

"That's right," Mr. Guchun said as he agreed to Shung Yun's words, "don't forget to find me if you ever need help."

"I definitely won't, senior," Shung Yun said as he left Mr. Guchun's office.

Coming to the first floor of the three-storied building, he sat cross-legged at a corner as he listened to the lower-stage old man that usually sits opposite the entrance gate of the Stallion Paradise at night play the guqin.

Floating in the space of his mind, the soothing music from the lower-stage old man enveloped him like an armor as the booming voices of the six[6] deadly sins repeatedly smashed against the musical armor, shaking his mind and giving him an unending headache.
