EVIE'S POV
"Let's go." I heard him say. He took my hand and walked me out of the dinning room with Adrian following closely behind us. After walking out of the pack house, there was a vehicle waiting at the front of the building. I've seen some vehicles before at Mr. and Mrs. Hank's house and at the Chief's house only a few times but none of them looked like this one. The car was finely made by whoever designed it and the polished and shiny look made it very attractive.
Adrian got in the driver's seat while the Alpha and I took the back seat. It was the first time I was ever in a vehicle (that I am aware of). The seats were so comfortable. But if we were to take this car to wherever were going, doesn't that mean my chances of escape have reduced drastically? I intended to run off when we're probably walking. I really didn't think this through. I had to think of something else.
------------------
The journey to the so called 'somewhere' was quiet and no one had anything to say to each other. Evie looked through the window and observed the places they were passing. Everywhere looked really good and beautiful. All the buildings looked similar like the entire place was an estate. Most of the buildings had only one storey except for a few. After about thirty minutes journey, they reached a highway which was the connection (aka axis) between the human realm and the silver werewolf realm. The connecting point was like end-of- road for both humans and werewolves. Only those who knew it's existence were able to pass through (humans, of course, had no clue). The witches even made a spell to prevent humans from coming in at all even if they were curious, suspicious or aware. After crossing the axis, the drive continued for about twenty minutes more before the car halted somewhere. Evie was already dozing off about ten minutes earlier and had no idea they had gotten to their destination.
But immediately the car stopped moving, she opened her eyes. 'Gosh! I was planning to escape and here I am dozing off.' she sighed inwardly.
"We're here." Brody announced. He walked out of the car and held his hand out to help her out. Evie stared at the building. It looked like a very big boutique. 'What exactly are we here for?' she asked in total confusion. If not for the books she came across in the attic, she wouldn't have had any ideas what these things were all about. From the things in the bathroom, to the car and now a boutique. When Evie got to the attic, she cried there silently for two days straight but after spending a week there, she was confident that was her destined space. She came across some books in some boxes. From those books, she learned to read and write properly. On one of Nathan's visit, he told her that those were the books of the Chief's daughter. The Chief's daughter was home schooled right from when she was a kid but attended college later and left those books behind.
Evie learned very fast. Faster than an average person could. It was like those things were things she knew before but forgot them and coming across them again was like a reminder. Her only weakness was that she only came across educational stuff and had no exposure to other things. The things she recognized from the bathroom were all from body care and physical wellbeing textbooks.

Evie walked out of the car following closely behind him while he held her hand firmly. 'Just how am I going to escape if he keeps holding me like this?' she sighed.
