He balled his fists, ready to fight the unknown creature. He was shocked at first and he must admit that he felt fear, but he was also thrilled at the thought that someone made his little trip in Evardin more exciting.
He twisted his wrist that Lauren gripped earlier, his bones back to normal in just a matter of seconds. The man wasn't just a lowly vampire but a pureblooded one who came from a strong bloodline so his body's healing ability was as superior as a vampire mage.
Before Lauren could reach him, the man stepped on the trunk behind him with a strong force to push himself forward. The trunk shook and some of its dry branches fell at the same time his punch almost landed on Lauren's face.
