Edith and her subordinates could only hold the formation for around a minute. It was a complex formation that consumed a lot of energy and magic that even the most skilled mages could not hold for too long.
Still, Edith was glad that their opponents were reduced to half. Deranged humans were easy to kill, but black mages were a different story. Apart from being stronger and being able to wield dark magic, they were sane and knew how to think, which made them harder to get rid of.
Edith coughed up more blood.
She was down on one knee now and could hardly stand. She spent almost all of her magic in the Arrow-Eye formation and she was barely left with any magic. And it didn't help that her energy was getting sucked by the freaking poison spell.
'Is this going to be the end of me?'
She smiled bitterly. At least she would die a noble death for protecting the kingdom. Not too bad.
