Standing by the garden's shed, Lauren asked Alec, "What if they know we have prepared for their attack?"
"Even if they do know, let's see what their course of action will be," Alec said calmly, his eyes looking far ahead at the garden's maze.
It had stopped snowing for a few days now and the faint sunlight was starting to penetrate the thick mist in the sky.
"The bottom line is we know they will stage a big attack. No matter if they attack tomorrow or the next day, at least we have prepared."
Lauren nodded, getting Alec's point. Even if the rebels would not attack tonight because they knew they had prepared their defense, they would still attack anytime soon so it didn't matter if they knew or not.
"Don't you feel sick?" Alec looked at her with a concerned expression, looking out for any physical signs of distress on her face. "The pacifier you took was a very strong drug. Don't you feel anything at all?"
