The Blood Ants had a blood shell which they used as an armor. It also made rattling noises as they walked over and above their fellow soldiers. They had claws as long as an adult human's fingernail.
They had maroon eyeballs too which they could use to cast illusions for as long as three seconds. To the average mortal, these three seconds could determine life and death.
