Chereads / Violin : Mission to get him / Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

A few small taps on Violin's shoulder managed to make the girl awake, blinking a few times while adjusting the refraction of the light that entered through the window pane. Thirty-five minutes passed, and it seemed the rain had gone, allowing the sun to come out of its hiding place.

Moving one hand to wipe her eyelids, Violin almost popped her eyeball out of it when she realized that she was asleep in the man's arms, still feeling a strong arm wrapped around her waist, causing a blush to appear on both of her cheeks.

A low sigh managed to break her daydream, along with her arms getting loosened and released from there. Violin turned her head, found Leo's presence with an expressionless face with both thick eyebrows slightly raised.

"Lucky you didn't drool on my clothes."

Instead of questioning the girl's condition for the first time, Leo instead issued a sentence that made Violin wipe her mouth, and thankfully she didn't find anything there, meaning Leo's Hoodie was safe.

"Haven't arrived yet?" Asked with both eyes focused on the road, watching how the vehicles raced past, looking up a little and found the sun was back at work, eliciting a harsh sigh that Leo could hear clearly.

"Why?" he asked briefly.

"If it's not raining, it means the math teacher is coming, right?"

Again an eyebrow raised when Violin moaned in disgust at the end of the sentence. "Are you afraid of being appointed and not being able to answer again? It's better if you just skipping school, there's no point in going to school."

Her head turned, along with the description of the man that was also moved, "it's good that we don't come, so we don't have to do such a mountain and difficult task. That's why I don't stop praying, hopefully it will rain and the teacher won't come."

"You don't have to pretend that it's going to rain if you can't stand the cold yourself. Next time bring a jacket so you don't bother people."

As the venom stopped which indicated they had arrived, Violin did not swear in front of the man which made her anger stuck in her throat. She got up when the man had already left her, letting steam escape from her mouth, showing a warm smile as she felt her body much fresher than before. Leo was right, she shouldn't be expecting rain if she couldn't withstand its effects.

Humming a little before her steps actually stepped into the classroom, getting a warm welcome from the handsome class president who was walking towards her with a dimple that always appeared when he stretched a sweet smile.

"Good morning, guess what?" One eyebrow rose and fell with his arms folded in front of his chest, managed to make Violin rack her brain to guess Felix's words.

"Did you win the lottery?" Felix's small shake made her think again. It's actually hard to guess about Felix, because he always seems happy with the little things.

"Are you in love with the girl you have a crush on?"

"No, it's more fun than that. Try to guess again, because this can make you happy too."

One hand was raised, rubbing her chin with both eyes looking up at the ceiling of the classroom.

"What's that? It's really hard, you just have to tell me, I'm stupid about it, especially when it comes to math." Sounds like giving up with a rant in the middle.

Felix's hand went up, cracking a part of his finger as if something was right, "well, that's the key word."

"Huh? You mean math?"

"Yeah, guess what?"

Violin's eyes were already sparkling, as her hands moved to cover her mouth that had just opened wide. Hope that what she thinks is right, because with it she can relax for the day.

"Math teacher not present?!" A shriek from Felix's hand flew into the air, making Violin jump happily, bringing her hand back to cover her mouth, resulting in a small chuckle from Felix.

"Are you serious? But why?"

"What I heard was—she said that her leg fell on a tree branch that almost fell in front of her house this morning. So, she have to get regular massages first so she can walk normally again." Nodding her head in understanding, Violin didn't stop giving a happy smile from her lips.

"Eh, but are we wrong, aren't we already happy with people's suffering?" The question that returned faded the smile on Felix's lips or vice versa. The man turned his head, looking at all the students who were busy chatting except for Leo who preferred to close his eyes in the corner of the classroom.

"It's wrong, but all of our friends are like us, so there's nothing to worry about." Felix said.

"Okay okay. Thanks for the news, I'm really happy, seriously."

The two of them slowly separated, where Violin stepped towards her seat, and Felix walked out when he heard a commotion from the next class. The reason is that he is always relied on by many homeroom teachers from the twelfth grade to arrange several other classes during their free hours so they don't wander around, perhaps because of the discipline, friendly and honest attitude that is practiced in him. Made him much liked by several teachers at the school, often became chairman of the committee when there were activities, and don't forget that he is the current chairman of the student council.

"Did I say, if it rains the teacher won't come." Violin's pride when landing her buttocks, made Leo slowly open his eyelids, showing a flat face that always makes Violin want to claw his claws there.

"I don't even care." A small squeak that made Violin's ears heat up, until her hands moved to reach for the small object that had just plugged the man's ear.

Inviting the gaze of an eagle ready to devour its prey, Violin just stuck out her tongue before hiding it in her pocket.

"Anyway, today we have to talk like the others, I'm not going to let you just sit still."

Slowly his feet turned towards Leo, making the two of them face each other with Violin already smiling happily, as if ready to release a myriad of stories that she had neatly packed and stored for a month, making Leo roll his eyes in embarrassment.

"Don't you come back?"

"No, what are you going to do if I don't come back?" Deliberately showing an annoying face there, with both hands crossed in front of his chest, Leo let out a warm and short breath from the gap between his lips before moving to reach into the pocket of Violin's alma mater.

Advancing his chair little by little because Violin deliberately kept her body away, overwhelmed him until he moved to hold the Violin's body and made the two of them have to collide with each other. A mix of dark brown pupils from Violin, and slightly lighter brown from Leo.

Everything just happened, making the strong pumping of Violin's heart even more uncontrollable. For the first time they stared at each other for a long time, usually they would only stare at each other with annoyance, and even then only briefly.

"Leo, what's wrong with my heart?" She asked subconsciously.
