"Aim your arrows to the witch!" A man on full armor yelled, and hundreds of men behind him obeyed. He was the commander, leader of the Keepers. This man was determined at achieving his one true mission. To end me.

Their arrows all pointed at me, ready to fly free and unleash terrors to my poor body. I was prepared for them.

My companion, Dolion was resting on my shoulders, commending me for my bravery. I smiled at all of his comments, because I truly was ready for them.

Years upon years, and these men won't just let me be!

"Attack!" The man yelled out, and hundreds of arrows darted towards my side.

With the powers of the Dragonstone I had on, I panicked not, because I was wholeheartedly convinced that I was unstoppable. The magic in me was enough to make me invincible. More than enough.

Heaving in a deep sigh, I prepared  myself as I unleashed my darkness upon these armies of destroyers. It was going to be an easy war.

My whole body became recharged with unexplained forces, and my strength grew in million foes. Under one brief moment, I raised my staff forward and released the magic inside. One by one, these arrows began to catapult themselves back to the senders. Men fell to the ground, yelling in agony. Some of them died instantly. Others took cover behind their shield. The sky above was blood red, thunder and lightening shaking the earth.

We were on a deserted island, completely covered with a wide body of water. I willed the goodness of all nature's harborer to enrich me. The land below me, cracked as all it's richness departed from it, and the water, rose up to exalt me. Even as the air blew, it strengthened every muscle inside my body. I was blessed by the universe.

More men instantly charged forward, advancing towards me with their sharp swords and knives. The land before me united with the air, creating a barrier that guarded me from the men's attack. I called forth the fire from the underground and it rose blazingly, wiping out all that it came in contact with. The warriors of the underworld appeared at the mention of my summoning, and I gave my order. "Kill them all."

It was a bloody scene, one that I enjoyed watching. Swords slashed against each other, wiping and slithering the flesh of men. My warriors were dead already, so the humans blades caused no harm on their skin. If you could call it skin. Their skeletons were protected with flaming red color that resembled that of a heated iron. No object could penetrate the barrier acting as skin for my warriors. The humans died in numbers, minute by minute, hundreds of men falling dead by the smite of the demon warriors.

The smell of fresh blood reeked the air as I walked past the midst of the massacre. My demon warriors surrounded me, averting all forms of terror that were directed at me.

I had a goal.

All these years, this time, I would finally rip out the heart of this man. I would end his life and destroy him at last.

My eyes scanned the area, searching for the bastard of a father. His voice called out from the crowd, announcing his presence. But as I turned around, I saw no trace of him. Looking to my left, then my right, front and back, and this man was nowhere to be found.

"Show yourself you coward!" I remained at alert, not knowing where he would advance from.

"It is over for you, my child. Today, you shall die." His voice said again, and I hated myself instantly for ever being related to him.

"You bloody bastard." I calmed my nerves, observing where his voice could be sounding from. He was near. Just another sound, and I would be able to uncover the location of his presence...

"There is nothing you can do to escape your unfortunate destiny. It is ineffable-" he was still saying when my hands reached for his neck, and gripped on tight, choking him until the last of his breath would vanish. This was my moment. He would finally be gone, so I could go on with my life.

He was extremely taller than I was, and that made me wondered how I balanced so well as my hands still easily strangled his neck. Just below my feet, I could feel the air lifting me up. My eyes fixated at his, watching him choke with a horrible stare. He was dying, at long last.

Yet, I could not bring myself to rejoice at his suffering. I should had been happy. Relieved.

His eyes were already bulging out, form of life exiting from them. Terror overwhelmed him and he probably could not believe he was gagging on his last breath. Struggling for his chance to live, he launched all forms of attacks at me. I could feel his blade stabbing through my skin, and ripping out my flesh. But I didn't stop. Blood already covered my skin, and I knew how severe it must had been from Dolion's several screaming and exaggerated comments.

This man would die today.

Only a few moments more, and he would finally become one of my warriors. Dead.

Yet, as I managed a pause to stare at his eyes, I ... panicked. I realized just how evil and dangerous I truly had become.

But it didn't matter now. It was late.

The second I had gotten lost in my own thoughts, my strength had left me. In that brief moment, he found relief. And even as I could feel my hands still wringed tight round his neck, the faint smile on his face suggested I'd lost.

It was just one word he uttered. One simple spell, and it ended my whole existence. Pity was not a trait one must have, for it will only bring about their doom.

One word, and I became a history to my era.

One word...

What does a girl do when every night, she sees a glimpse of what is imagined to had been her past life?

Nightmarishly horrors of different versions where she had died. Every night, a dream that revealed little images of a life where she once used to exist in. Pieces of moments she had lived before, all coming back.

Every bloody night.

What explanation could you possibly give to a girl like that?

"Melissa! Get your lazy arse down here, right now." A tiny voice screeched.

In my head, I wanted scream out a reply. Grumpy me though otherwise.

"Melissa!"

I was going downstairs already. Why was she still yelling like a mad woman?

"Meli-" her voice came to a halt as soon as she set her big eyes on me. "Oh, you're here."

"Yes. What?" I knew exactly why she'd been calling for the past ten times, I just loved the pleasure that followed with being rebellious.

"What?" She scoffed in disbelief. She would because I was not really the respectable type of person. "You dare ask me what?"

"What?" I said again, then gave a fake bow. "Your majesty?"

"Melissa, you will never change will you?"

"I hope not."

"Shut it." She brought herself forward, only a few inches apart from where I stood. "You're just a mere servant my dear, you'll never be greater. Ever." She slowly whispered to me. Laura was full of such childish behaviors. She tried so hard and became very good at being a bully. Everytime, she overcame an act of trying to be very matured than I was, richer and more successful.

Well it was true she was all of that. But why brag every bloody time?

"Is that all? I was a bit busy when you called." I frowned, making it obvious I had not loved the little chatting. A hot lash hit my cheek, forcing my face to fall to the floor. "Two times in one day, huh? I must have been very naughty today." I brought my face back up, and couldn't help myself from smiling at the disgusted stare on her face.

"You poor thing. No wonder your own blood sold you into slavery. You're worthless." Feeling proud of herself, she held up a pleased face.

"We are not so different from each other, I assure you." I replied her, knowing fully well she would had been crushed by my statement. It was all written on her face. The terror she felt almost made me feel a hint of sympathy for her. "You're going to end up like your mother. Unhappy, forever."

"What is going on here?" Lucinda, Laura's mother walked in. She'd gone for a meeting with the councils, and just returned.

"Nothing mother." Laura quickly said, and I could have sworn I saw a drop of tear rolled down her cheeks. "I was just telling Melissa to go run some errands."

"I'll be up in my room then," she announced. "Laura, I'd like to have a word with you."

"Yes moth-"

"After, you go visit your future husband."

The look on Laura's face quickly changed from fear to terror. "But mother-"

"He has called for your presence. He misses you."

"To hell with the bastard." She muttered, though it was loud enough for her mother to have heard.

"That bastard is the one for you. You shall either die, or marry him." Her tone authoritative and commanding, revealed no trace of remorse whatsoever.

"You're not being very nice-"

"Off you go. And wear something pretty. Make him go wild." And with that, she strode to her room.

I just stared and watched the forlorn scene that played before my eyes. For some reason, I've long lost my human feelings. Pity was a wicked thing to feel. Being nice never did you any good. I didn't know why, but the thought was a part of me now.

"Melissa," Laura called, her voice low and muffled, "here are the list of things to go fetch." She handed me a small piece of paper, "hurry up so I can prepare breakfast by the time I return."

I watched her exited from my sight. Men were full of nothing but evil. They were selfish and backstabbing liars. Yet they said witches and wizards were evil.

The balance between good and evil has been tampered with. Evil grew rapidly, and continued to expand. What will save us now?

Perhaps a new world?
