As soon as the dart hit the Cricul, the beast started to bellow and blare. The beast got agitated, and, feeling the stinging pain in his back leg, it started running away, alarming all the other Criculs that ended up following him in his mad dash for safety.
But Erik wasn't finished. With a handful of seeds in his hands, he channeled mana into them and threw them like baseballs.
The seeds flew toward the fleeing Criculs, then turned into saplings, and later into full-grown trees at an impossible speed, their trunks thickening and branches extending. Like giant spears, they began falling, casting shadows that promised death over the running beasts.
Indeed, they did, but just on two of the beasts. Both of them got crushed by the trees, turning into a mush of meat and blood.
