My birthday was simply not important enough to them. I should stop expecting anything from them but no matter how much I try, I simply can not feel true anger towards them. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we are family nonetheless.
"Hey? What is that bottle?" Livia asked.
"Bad news. They discovered this liquid and it can help people become stronger and use something similar to magic. They have been experimenting on it for years. I was experimented on too but my body naturally rejected this liquid."
"Wha-?! Wait! What do you mean?!"
"I didn't stutter. My parents are simply not good people. Money is their sole motivator and they can go to any lengths. They wanted me to be their main weapon but as the water had no affect on me, I became a source of frustration to them. I'm the proof that this liquid might not be for everyone. Once humans receive this liquid, they will remove those who are inferior to them."
"You're being too pessimistic, right?" She chuckled nervously.
"I'm being too optimistic. You have no idea how catastrophic this could be." I sighed before picking up a mocktail.
"Also... ah... I'm sorry, I thought you were just a mean person but it makes sense now."
"No, I am indeed a rude person. I have hard time trusting others but now that my parents' plans are out in the open, I can't hide everything." I responded.
"Sarcastic as always?"
Sarcasm? I think she is misunderstanding things but I don't care much. I called Natalia informing her of the entire ordeal.
"What?! Tch. It will become more difficult for us. Can you do me a favor? I'll send down a box to your room, drink that to activate powers of Aquilae. It will be temporary but it will let you see fragments of Aquilae. I'll send a team of hunters but preparing a team will take time." Natalia said.
"My room? How?"
"We can teleport things around so don't worry. Just be quick."
"Livia, leave. Ask my driver to take you back home." I said as I rushed outside in a private area and used teleportation seal to go back to my room.
Weirdly, a box was indeed sitting on my bed. I opened it and in it was a vial. It had a crimson red liquid inside of it but without thinking I drank it. It tasted a bit off but I could feel warmth inside of me.
"Sanctuary of Kaal." I lifted my hand and suddenly I was in a dark green hall bigger than the hall my birthday party was held in. This hall could easily fit in more than a thousand people at once but...
Why did I know this was some ability?
I looked around and saw countless equations and as I kept looking at them I felt as though I had existed for eons past. It was like I know and see everything, all at once.
I had lived and died countless times. I've seen stars and civilizations from their creation to their inevitable demise.
There is but One God, He is I, I am the Creator, I fears none, I am without hate, I never die, I am beyond the cycle of births and death, I am self illuminated. I was true in the beginning, I was true when the ages commenced and has ever been true, I am also true now.
The divinity surging within me is the true enlightenment I have received. Kara... that name is meaningless to me now.
As I laid in the green void, I had a vision.
Countless portals opened and from within came aliens lifeforms. And soon... civilization ceased to exist.
A vision that felt insignificant to a grand existence like mine.
Huh? What? Wait- why am I acting so arrogant all of the sudden? But why shouldn't I? I have powers of a god running through my veins...
This isn't right. This isn't how I should act. I quickly left the sanctuary and teleported back to the birthday hall. I noticed the attendees checking the vial while dad was presenting the reporting and the findings. Unlike Furrina, I do not feel urgency whatsoever. It was like nothing bothered me. Not because of my trauma or past but because I was so far above them. These pesky humans felt like bugs trying to muster up powers to rival gods.
"Where did you find this liquid and is it possible to mass produce it?" A man asked.
"First question for now is a secret. We will have monopoly for five years before we release the information to the public and no, it is so far not something we can mass produce but we have enough for entire military." My dad answered.
I walked up to the stage and raised my hand. Vials from across the room burst opened and the liquid, instead of falling onto ground, gathered around me before disappearing.
"I alone am peerless. This is my final birth, there is no further becoming here." I slowly lifted myself from the ground levitating mid-air. "I will become the Iudex and use the past to judge all of humanity."
"HEY?!" My dad tried to drag me down but the moment his hands touched me, they turned dead.
"Between you and me consists endless samsara. You need infinite amount of time to reach me." I looked down at him. Getting quite a few of Aquilae's fragments greatly increased my powers. It seems as though I am favored by the Gods.
As I looked down at those humans, they instinctively bowed to me. But as I was about to land, a blade went through my chest.
"Aquilae powers are related to time, right? We were using this to quicken the evolution of humans but... we also needed a way to kill anyone who poses threat. Who would've thought it would be my own son..." It was my dad who had stabbed me.
I shouldn't have expected more from him. But time is I and I am time. There is no difference.
I stood up healing my wounds by turning back the time isolated to the stab wound.
"You should've gone for the head."
"Y...you... What are you? That power was incompatible with you!" My dad cried.
"I am the incarnate of a god." I answered. As I was looking at the humans bowing to me, I noticed three individuals appear through teleportation magic.
"We are part of the legate. You must be Kara, right?" A man asked.
"Yes." I jumped off the stage. "I'll take you to the location where alien species appeared."
"That was be of great help. We have located a total of six fragments of Aquilae. Two are currently inside of you. One is with us inside of Natalia. Three are missing." The man informed. "Oh... Right. I am Yang Jun." The man dressed in all black said. He seemed almost uninterested in whatever was going on. "This is Ava and Yukta." He pointed at two girls dressed in casual shirt and jeans. Nothing about them seemed 'other-worldly' to me.
"We are fitting in perfectly fine with humans, right?" Ava commented. She had baby blue hair and pink eyes in contrast.
"We ARE humans!" Yukta said in a sarcastic tone.
"Don't mind them. Take us to the location so we can get done with it. It seems like Aquilae's fragments have certain predisposition towards your body. Under certain conditions, Natalia has also agreed to sending her fragment over to you. And under certain other requirements, you might get remaining fragments too."
"Right. I too think I have some connection to Aquilae. But let me ask you, how did Aquilae die?" I asked. It seems as though I can't look into the past yet.
"For some reason grand order are fighting amongst each other. They're higher-dimensional beings... god-like almost. Aquilae was killed by Aether." Jun answered.
"So... I'm guessing six fragments are related to six abilities?"
"Ah yes. Currently you can move in time and use all fighting abilities Aquilae had. Natalia can stop time and other three fragments... well one can deconstruct and delete time periods. Other can time line alteration. It will allow you to move through different timelines and even erase them and last is knowledge of all things. As the name suggests, it connects you directly to world tree which gives you information of everything that happened. Galaxia, the grand order of space, has a similar ability but they know everything that is happening within the current space. But Aquilae knows everything."
"Huh? Aquilae, grand order of time, Galaxia, grand order of space and Aether, grand order of light and energy. Wait- How did Aether kill Aquilae?"
"Aether? No one knows. We have theories like Aquilae allowed Aether to kill them. Or maybe... Aether is strong enough to kill the ruler of time. Grand orders have been on equal terms... neither enemies nor friends so it is hard to understand their reasoning. Plus they're god-like beings. We simply can't comprehend their plans." Jun answered.
"So we can expect a war?" I asked while thinking about the vision.
"It seems like all the five grand orders are bounded by fate... for some reason they will kill each other in a great war and the battlefield is going to be this planet." Jun dropped a bombshell.
