Chapter 1 - Wood

Alexia couldn't take it anymore her head was falling into pieces as she drank a full glass cup of water for the umpteenth time.

She didn't want to read She any more but she didn't have a choice. If she really did not want to finish her senior year in Greenwood academy she had to study hard to pass the entrance exam of prime wood academy the school of her dreams.

The school was one of the biggest schools around and if you couldn't pass their entrance exam, you've got to make sure you have a rich daddy with sick connections(1).

Alexia dad’s was a lawyer in the hill firm , he suddenly started to get more case after he handled the case of the drug dealers who were using little girls to carry out their mission. He was always busy, especially now that he had another case that involved the assassination of the CEO of IDEN CORPORATE.

They weren't poor ,they couldn’t even be classified as an average,if you were to even categorize her family it would be categorized as heading to wealth especially since her dad was now almost a renowned lawyer.

She hit the physics text book on her head which wasn't such a smart move because of the upcoming headache that was threatening her skull.

She groaned when she looked at the pile of physics text book on her desk, she was sure she would practically run mad, especially if she opened her chemistry textbook to start reading. She banged her head on the desk again groaning in pain.

"Maybe if you kept your books for a little while and slept you wouldn't have to bang your head so hard all the time."The voice asked from somewhere above her. She turned around and found her mom, looking down on her.

"Just maybe." She replied, turning her head back to ohms law in her physics textbook.

"Are you sure banging your head is a part of reading?, cause I think it's more like damaging your brain."She approached the desk looking over her daughter’s head to see what she was doing.

"Bye the way the entrance exam, will no longer take place as from next week".

Alexia’s Mum smirked as the look of terror on her daughter face, it was simply refreshing to know that her daughter was not scared if they took her monthly allowance but was terrified because of a 3 hours exam.

"Oh my goodness, mom you just increased the pressure I felt, it's ten time worst than the thermal cracking of 1000 Celsius". Her mum lifted one of her eyebrow simply amused at her daughter,s statement, which she had no idea what it meant.

Alexia only smiled sheepishly at her mother. "Sorry it's chemistry am still trying to learn the petroleum stuff. "

"I thought you heard the news already, I didn't mean to pressurize you."She was at the point of laughing at the look on her daughter's face.

Alexia Mum was always so proud of her daughter she had sharp and defined facial features, especially the eyes, lips ,brow and nose,She had an hour glass figure she was a calm and composed but looking at her daughter's hair that was black from the roots then blonde all way down with light streaks of pink at the tip, pulled up in a messy bun. She still couldn’t understand why she alway continuously dyed the roots of her blonde hair black and tip pink or sometimes red. she was wearing a big hoodie with no pants, she was pretty sure she wasn't wearing underwear either it made her look like a typical teenager.

"Am very sure you'll pass and get into that fine wood academy."She chuckled, and kissed her daughter forehead.

"Mom it's prime wood."she laughed.

"Yeah yeah ,all the same as long as there's wood in there.”She laughed at her daughter annoyed face.
