If it wasn’t because of her raging pheromones, I would have believed that her heat had abruptly ended. However, I knew that this nightmare wouldn’t end that easily for us. Regardless, I was shocked at Mila’s ability to control her body. She was no longer writhing on the floor next to the pool like an animal in heat like before.
“Mila…” I called her name with the hope that she had regained some of her consciousness even if it wasn’t all.
“Prince…” she called out to me sweetly as she turned to face me.
The blank look in her eyes made me feel uncomfortable inside. My hands balled into tight fists as I struggled to suppress my urges to pounce on her. To my further shock, Mila got on her hands and knees and began slowly crawling toward me.
