Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Journey to Meggido

Sitting in a carriage carried by 2 horses, one Knight leading the horses, and one in walking in front guarding the carriage,

I feel safe knowing the Knights are capable but..

I barely hold my puke in because of the carriage bobbing on the rocky road,

This is the worst..

Absolutely the worst, but it is going to take 2 years to get to the Meggido Empire..

Well I am getting quite used to it,

There have been occasions where monsters tried to attack the carriage but it is taken care of quite quickly and it stopped happening as much when we got out of the forest.

Almost 2 years have passed and we are near the capital,

A lot has happened in two years,

We have been going to local towns to resupply,

I turned 5 years old recently and didn't mind that it was not celebrated,

The two Knights are Meralc and Irulx,

Irulx was the one who always was in front of the carriage walking, and Meralc led the horses.

They were both very nice and earnest but saying they were perfect would be an exaggeration,

They did have a few weak points but they were great.

By the time we arrived at the capital I was almost 6 years old,

We headed to the castle planning to greet the Empress,

「 The Meggido Capital Castle 」

The maids in the Castle escorted me to the fitting room,

I was wearing ragged clothes but I was changed and groomed by the maids in the castle,

I was complimented since I was properly cleaned because of my beautiful face,

I never realized I had a beautiful face because I was always shut-in my house focusing on reading about the world, and the magic in it.

People complimented me and my self esteem grew but I had to be careful not to get it into my head,

I look at the mirror and think to myself that I looked like a princess, the only thing missing is the tiara,

I am now entering the throne room to greet the Empress,

The Guardsmen open the door to the throne room,

As it opens a blinding light enters my vision.
